Sr20det help! Turning over but won't start

Okay I have a 98 type x blacktop sr20det in my s13

My friend and I were trying to wire in a launch control which splices into the ecu harness.. Anyways he cut the two wrong wires at first and then he crimped them back together. Further on we cut the right wires but it's potential he accidentally wired two of them to the wrong ones because it was not working at first. So we fixed the wiring and got it in properly, the launch control device was turning in and working but car just kept cranking and wouldn't start. So we disconnected it and wired the ecu harness back to stock just the way it was, and car still just cranks and won start. Fuel pump is turning on, but getting no spark. Any ideas? Is. It possible we fried the ecu?

open up the ecu and see if there are any burnt pins. you'll be able to smell it almost immediately if you burned the board. also, check the continuity through your ignitor. ignitors on SR's are notorious for going even if looked at wrong. if both check out, you'll have a more serious issue on your hands like tracing a broken wire which isn't fun. good luck

It depends on how you have your harness routed but, its not far after the ECU. It's right after the rubber grommet and where the engine harness splits like a Y.
