Has anyone tried the ebay 5 lug conversions? Really cheap, but there isn't much to a wheel hub...

QUESTION----If the window regulator gear spins, that means the regulator is no good?

I been searching but cant find the answer and i looked inside the door pulled the whole window set up out and the wire is still good that pulls the rails.

My window and falls down, so its held by a screw in the gear.

youll have to cut either one...depending how far out ur shit hangs...keep the pig nose and cut just wat you need...

if you switch bumpers, ur gonna need the fender extensions to make the difference on the sides look clean (assuming u care) and get different signal lights obviously...pointless...just trim the pignose...and i suggest u trim the to upper opening of the pignose so they can actually serve a purpose of flowing a bit of air...

you could try buyign OEM bearings and press those in, but will it work 100% as to say they would actually fit...i dunno

my understanding, Ichiba can take OEM bearings wiht no issues...

If your window falls down its your regulator. I had mine do the same so i just replaced the whole door LOL I also happened to have one in the same color already tho.

Yes and do everything steve told you. Dont waste your time with a chuki bumper unless your trying to get or already have CDTRL's, those are the ONLY reason for a chuki bumper in my book

ebay will fit but I would suggest OEM bearings with any hub kit.

Theres an exploded view in there somewhere.

OH and Im pretty sure most people on here are of the mind that if you take it apart you should be able to put it back together.
Probably why you never got an answer.

I'm not sure if this question was asked (not going through 65 pages) but I'm on a budget and I'm trying to lower my car, will swapping out the stock springs for lowering springs really put stress on the stock shocks?

If thats your plan, I'd do it- but only as a temporary solution. Dont slap your springs on there and expect to drive it for 40k miles. If you do the springs, fine, drive it- but your NEXT mod should be the shocks. I wouldnt rock stock struts on lowering springs more than 2-3 months tops if i could avoid it.

I mean, theres really no way to know how long theyll last- they could last a year potentially.. but they WILL eventually blow, and as long as youre prepared for that to happen, it wont be a big deal. Its not like theyll blow and take out some other shit with it, or cause you to crash. It'll just start to ride like shit after a while.

And honestly, you can pick up a decent set of used shocks and springs for around $250. Make sure you test them before buying by putting your weight over them and compressing them- if theyre blown, itll feel like JUST spring, no dampening. But that'd be the ideal solution, especially because swapping springs is a pain if you dont have spring compressors. You could spend $140 on new springs, or another $100 and get used shocks with them.. springs rarely go bad, so if the used shocks you get go, you could still swap the springs onto the stock shocks to buy you some more time to save for new shocks.

no sarcasm, here, but did you try calling Greddy and asking them?
whanever I have a tech question I first ask the manufacturer, it's the easiest way, they usually have tech guys that can help you over the phone.

What to do now???

Ok i have a 95 s14, ka24de 260,000 miles(fuuukkk)
Few cheap mods:
1. Air Filter (removed air canister and jst put a cone filter - K&N)
2. Hacked ECU for speed removal(i jst cut a few wires)
3. 3" custom pipe with a cheapy muffler(bought it of a friend for $30 dnt know what brand but sounds nice lol)
4. Advanced timing to 24 degrees(or maybe 22 dnt remember exactly)

Ok so whats next??? I'm not planning to keep the motor so obviously i dnt want to slap a turbo on it or take it apart and rebuild it, or even buy headers for it. However i am willing to spend cheaply for a few extra horses, any tips or is that about it?
Thanks for all the help greatly appreciated!

Another question, when swapping engine, does the fender harness on s14s need to have wires added or modified?

I am at a stand still with the wiring stuff on my car until I get a motor and would like to relocate my fuse box. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

dumb question i know but...what happens when you add R134 to a car thats supposed to have R12? the worse that could happen is that the compressor could freeze up (no pun intended) right?

Spend your money on maintenance. At 260k, ill bet your rear subframe bushings are SHOT, at the very least. I would focus on getting the chassis up to par, and not touch the motor- for two reasons. 1. youre not keeping it. so why mod it? and 2. its got 260k miles. You really wanna push it? I think you should baby it so it lasts you until youre ready to swap it.
