hehe that sounds like a boost leak. pressurize the plumbing and I bet you find it, a coupler or around the bypass valve.
speaking of which, I also heard the compressor surge. Check your dedicated vacuum line to the bypass valve. you *do* have a dedicated bypass vacuum line, right? |

Yes I have a vacuum line from the bov to the top right nipple of the intake. the top left goes to the fpr and the bottom nipple running to the wastegate since I dont have a nipple on my hotpipe. and I have no boost controller if that makes any difference.
I will do a pressure test once I build a boost leak tester to see if I have any leaks.. By compressor surge you mean the flutter noise my bov is making? can I fix this by adjusting the bov screw? my bov is located on my hotpipe and is recirculated but with a shitty plastic flex tubing which I will replace shortly. I have the greddy RZ bov |

2. The flutter is coming from the compressor wheel, not your bypass valve. You need to adjust the bypass valve, or fix the vacuum source, or replace the bypass valve. |

I have this same issue since I installed my arc smic. I've read that sometimes its a bad bov gasket or a screw. I bought a new gasket, but won't see if this solves the problem for another week until it gets here.
Sounds a lot similar to this. |
