I got say something fair here. Plz don't pink me mod =P. The whole dib thing has Pro or Con. Pro is you give respect to posters here and also maintain some kind of order. Con is dib usually result in more flakers and trouble for the seller...
Now in this case...did s14dC said he will buy it? Or is he simply asking about it? I believe C probably took an extra step of PM and confirming the sale that S14DC didn't. If I am a seller, I would give dib to the first person that says, " I WILL TAKE IT, and HOW DO I PAY?" Or say "I WILL TAKE IT IF YOU WILLING TO SHIP" Sorry if I offened anyone in this post. Just my 2cents.

To be honest I don't think s14dB had "dibs"; I mean, he didn't even make offer did he? He simply implied that he was interested in case someguy_240 was willing to ship. I don't know whom someguy_240 has talked to on PM, but I'm pretty sure I was one of the first to make an actual offer, so he took it.
When you're on a seller's position you never know who is serious and who is not. In fact, s14dB wasn’t the first one to ask about them, "theorically" theicecreamdan had first dibs; even tough they're not 5-lug like he wanted and a lot other people asked about them too. But that doesn't mean they will definitely buy it, as ghostuss said, a lot of people who get dibs on something end up backing out, I know this for a fact because I just recently parted out an S14 and if you look at that thread, you will see that I replied "that part is pending sale" to a lot of people. That was because I saved parts to those who asked first, and guess what, nearly half of those parts are still in my house, and technically speaking there's someone that has "dibs" on pretty much every part that I still have. After that I learned to only save dibs to those that either make an offer, or confirm that they will buy it. And I'm not just saying this to defend myself; this is just my opinion, take it fwiw. |

just to be clear, s14db did not make an offer, so therefore was never his.
He (S14DB) said "If you think about shipping let me know." Then C responded "Hey so, Are you definately not willing to ship? would you be willing to sell just one of them?" then i posted, then C was the first to respond, then within 10minutes paypaled cash into my account. its first come first serve, he was quicker to the punch, how is it unfair? being on zilvia when i was helped me out communicate wid me and thats why he got them. sorry if you felt robbed thanx dan

Meh.. I don't really care either way. Just looked like the "Writ of Dibs" was called and ignored. Figured thats what the PM was about.
Ghostuss.. you are too worried about bieng pink. [off topic] As long as you don't come off with a brash "F You Moderator" or something.. say whatever you'd like (no racism!).[/off topic] Nobody is mad here. I was just making an observation. Enjoy the cams C. The grind looks very close to the JWT grind, and will make the motor feel like a different engine. Pulling from 3500-6500rpm fast and hard. Why did you only want one? -Jeff
