Turbine wheel is the exhaust side. you said intake turbine. So that's a little confusing as it implies intake exhaust wheel. Was just curious what you actually meant.

Ok. As you desire.....
Man people on here are triggered (I am also guilty of this.....). I keep forgetting this is Zilvia and god forbid we ask a question for clarity. Whatever. Sorry for derailing for asking a simple question. A simple "Yes I meant compressor wheel" would have easily sufficed and saved face lol |

Well technically it's my daughters car. I'm just the builder. Motor is out right now. Stupid timing chain oil squirter popped out. What a great design there Nissan. Have the Mazworx screw in one now. Going to try and get to doing that this weekend and put the motor back in. Hoping to see 550 rwhp on this same tired 20g with the new bigger injectors and Haltech. No more stock ecu. I have a Talon.

And to be fair, Nissan never thought they would be seeing a 300% increase in power when they designed the stock timing chain oiler lol! |

Yes. TD06-SL2 w/ billet 7 blade 20g compressor wheel. This is an amazing street turbo. Spools fast and doesn't stop pulling till 8k rpms.

I don't see how horsepower affects the timing oiler lol. Just a bad design that can pop out.
You should be able to see a number inside the turbine inlet somewhere that says what size it is. My 8cm 20g had an "8" cast into the turbine housing somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Obviously it was oil pressure that pushed it out...

Actually power does play a role, it's vibration that causes issues like that.

Okay, so I have been thinking about what I want to do with this TD05 I picked up and I think I am going to grab a 20G billet wheel and housing. If I bought this, I would just need to swap the wheel and housing and I'd be good to go, right?
20G wheel and housing Also planning to rebuild the turbo while its apart, are there any rebuild kits that you guys would suggest or just buy any random one and I should be good?

I would look for the KTS 7 blade billet wheel.

Why that specific brand? I have read that the 7 blade wheels can make slightly more power, but I think I'd prefer response over the extra power.
I have also been looking at 9 blade turbine wheels, seems like they weight significantly less, offer better spool and helps hold boost in the higher RPM range. Would it be worth moving to one with the 20g compressor wheel? I paid next to nothing for this turbo so if I can spend around $400 to make it capable of 400whp I'll do it.

The 7 blade wheel just works. A standard cast 20g turbo is good for 400hp.

Any input on the 9 blade turbine wheel vs the 12 blade? I'll probably snag this one because its a drop in for my TD05H 9 blade turbine

I tried the 9 blade in the TD06H and felt absolutely no improvement to the 11 blade in spool with the lower weight, it only seems to have worse efficiency so at best, the same spool as 11 blade and maybe a cunthair more top end flow, but I wouldn’t bother with it. Get KTS 7 blade compressor like Tom said and have G Pop Shop do the machining and balancing.
