Thanks!

The 17x10 has a 275/40 Falken Azenis 615, you can see it in the bottom left of the picture. They are horrible as far as traction at the track, even with my measly 290ish whp. To be honest I'm not even sure what I run on that setup. Every time I've been to the track in the past few, which has been a couple dozen times I've always swapped to my bias ply slick setup. Once you've ran on a slick, radials are a waste. I may make a pass on my street tires next year, I think the e.t. would be a second longer, trap speed might stay the same.

Thank you, I'm stepping up to a 17x9 +35 offset Vs the old 15x7 0 O ffset wheels. Before i ran a 225/50/15 BFG Drag Radial. With the 17's i'm looking to find something a little more fun for all around driving. So i was considering the new RT615K Azenis in 275/40/17's but don't know if i should just stick with a drag radial.

Now that we are on the subject of wheel tire combos....I am planning on getting racestar darkstars here shortly. I plan on running 17x4.5 up front with the hoosier front runner and 15x8 with 6.5" back spacing with 275/60 mickey thompson drag radials out back. Now I am not too sure about the offset as of yet...do yall have any ideas as to about what would be right? My quarters are rolled but not pulled...

I just checked their website, do they make a 15x8 6.5" b.s.? Looks like just a 15x8 5.25" b.s. Granted they do, it would be a good size as if you needed to space them out. I wish I would have taken pictures of the inside clearance on my 15x8 5.5"

depending on your front brake you will need a spacer. with my 17/4.5 front runners i needed a spacer to clear my brembo. My alumastars only came with a 2.5" backspace.
the rears will be close i had 5.5" BS in the rear and it was perfect with a 26/8.5 ET drag.

was jsut at the IFO event in vegas and not one SR what a shame

they may clear his fine but those where were made with domestics in mind because the newer domestics come with big brakes and there was a calling for a front runner with stock brakes. for us we work with what we got. they only come with a 2.5"BS and with my spec V brembos i wouldnt clear not even close without the spacer. the only other Nissan running a 17" front runner is Drag international S15. I dont know if they got it first or me but you will have to run small brakes or run a spacer that i can promise you.

here is what i had, my rears are only rolled. This is on Tein Coilovers which i didnt get to try as this is when i snapped my rocker

Weld Alumastar 17x4.5" w 185/55 M&H radial front runner
Weld 2pc RT's 15x8 5.5"BS 26x8.5 ET Drag

Thanks for the pics...I am not really opposed to running a spacer up front...I just ordered some extended ARP studs for all four corners so I think they will be able to handle a spacer, as they are not the drive wheels. I am on the Tein Mono flex coils now and for not trying to adjust them or tune them at all at the track they do alright. I haven't tried to get a good launch with the antilag yet but I need tires before I do that anyway.

dont let # size fool you FYI, compare the tires section width and contact patch etc.

example the et drag 26/8.5 compared to the 26/10.5 et street are almost the same however the et street will leave you with more rotational mass

Thanks for the pics...in the first two pics are the tires supporting the weight of the car? Looks like a big gap between the top of the tire and the fender lip...

Yes surprisingly, his car is on Eibach Prokits. Looks all silly compared to everyone with coilovers.

I wouldn't have thought about the rotational mass between the streets and drags, but I do drive mine to the track and back.

ET Street
26x10.5x15 = 20lbs = 8.3" tread width

ET Drag = 19lbs = 8.1" tread width
26x8.5x15

Well I just got intouch with the vendor and they do only have 5.5" back spacing...I guess I will have to go with it and a 275/50R15 Drag radial...and some hoosier front runners...

I ran this shift light: Auto Meter Pro-Shift Shift Lights 5340 - SummitRacing.com

I don't use it anymore as I really don't race. If you are interested let me know. I have the 7K and 8K pill sets with it as well.

I think this is the same shift light I use on my 240. It is really easy to use and wire up. No pills like the autometer units.

Since this is the drag forum, and I am not going to do a build thread, I thought I would share a couple pics. This is my motor sitting in my engine bay for mock up purposes right now.
Specs:
Mazworx SR22 with all the bells and whistles
Mazworx head with 1/2 inch head studs
Borg Warner s366 turbo with t3 .70ar housing
Ross Tuffbond Dampner
Stance Water Pump Pulley
etc. etc.

Ya it is a stock crank with 90mm pistons. So it is not stroked just bigger cylinders increasing the displacement. This way I can rev to 9k+.

Boring out to 90mm doesn't weaken the cylinder walls to much...I know you use sleeves but still does it leave enough wall thickness to be reliable for daily driving and weekend racing??

IMO when sleeving it is to beef up the bottom end, boring it out to the max bore leaves you with just 1 build on th eblock unless the sleeves are perfect when refreshed, otherwise if you keep it .20 over each time you get more for your $ when it comes time to build it again say you scuff up a sleeve just bore it to the next size up. just my thoughts

Ya the block was sleeved with darton iron sleeves. If this motor goes and it had to be rebuilt I will simply just get the block resleeved and bored back out. This is the same set up mazworx uses on their drag car or at least used to.
