wiring slim fans

how do u wire the fans so that they dont stay on all the time only wen needed? i got a sr20det redtop btw in a s14

im just gonna help you before you get flamed.



wire the switch into a +12V ignition source so they only come on when the car is on. are you asking about them only turning on at a certain temperature? if thats the case then you are going to need some type of thermo switch

If you have more money than brains, get the DIF fan controller. It seems to be the easiest to hook up.

i had the DiF fan controller and it failed horribly. its a total piece of shit, hence the reason my fans are wired that ^ way now. if you have money get the Greddy unit, ive heard nothing but good things about it!

I'm really considering the Greddy MSS unit to control to fans. NemeGuero told me about it and linked me the ziptied write up. I think it's worth it considering it even gives you a temp read out.
