There's a couple of us out there. But not a lot.

I live in Germany about 30 minutes from the Dutch border. Tuning isn't as big out here as it is in the States. German laws make CA look like an anarchist state when it comes to modifying automobiles.

But hey, at least you'll be able to chug down on a shit load of absinthe while you're in Belgium.

I've heard that laws, in germany, are pretty strict for modifying cars. how bad is it? (just curious)

I'd say things here are a little bit stricter than they are down in CA.

Definitely a hell of a lot stricter than UT and CO.

Vehicle registrations here contain almost every vehicle spec you can imagine. Any deviation from those specs require an exemption from the TüV (Safety and Emissions) which costs money.

For example, you can't just throw on a different set of rims unless they meet the same specs as your OEM rims.

So basically, unless you're willing to spend beau coup money, you're probably not going to be a doing a lot of modifying/tuning.

Guess the Germans figure since their cars are so nice from the factory there's no need to mess about with them.

Hi mate, I sent you a PM back.

Over here in the Netherlands regulations aren't that strict. So they are some nice tuned cars over here.

Here's a S13 prepared for the Nordschleife. It's of one of my mates. It was tuned 6 months ago by Horsham Developments in the UK which are known for their Stage 1, 2 and 3 chips for the S14. Power is 390 bhp and 460 NM torque.

This was a S14 Zenki of another mate, but he's rebuilding it right now to a Kouki.

Some other projects in the Netherlands, a S15 with 420 bhp and 565 NM torque:

A S15 with a RB25, sorry no larger pic:

You think that is bad should see what Switzerland does to STI owners there , either way they want cars basically pre-flight checked before they hit the autoban . I'm sure most of the cars in the USA would fail the TUV tests.

That stuff is lethal, no way to get that in the USA

Police there dont need a reason to stop you, they can just pull any one over and search, and STI owners there are stopped pulled out of the car, inspected, any mods are checked with the yearly inspection TUV spec list and after market mods are nearly forbidden for Swiss Factory Spec cars.

Another Dutchie over here near belgium border (Antwerp).

Building S13 SR20DET / 2871.86 / 740/ Z32 / JWT etc. for 400whp goal.
Got a garage with a friend who's building a S13 RB26DETT twin 3037S setup.... 800whp area hahaha..

Regulations in Holland are ok, allthough its still considerd illegal what were doing (bit more HP than stock).

For the rest "Tuning" is lame over here... 98% is tupperware plastic with a powerfilter (Damn! Need wider tires! Can you feel the power!) and even the guys with some decent power mostly bring it to some tuner to have it build for them... and then they do a lot of hard parking with their "JDM" stickerbomb/stretch stuff....

Go to the UK.... way better racing spirit I tell ya

`Sr20DET for sale

Having a spare SR20DET Longblock engine shipped over with my 240sx from the states. Engine is only Long block no manifolds, fuel rails, or etc... Just long block.

The Bad: A flywheel bolt backed out and stripped crank thread for the flywheel hookup.

Got a engine off a friend for the same price it would have cost to do any work to the crank over even replace the crank. No other issues, engine was rebuilt from bottom up when first installed, I have pics of the intial build. Someone want to take it off my heads for a fair price let me know. No reasonable offer refused, looking to gert rid of my large paper weight. PM me for faster reply

The TUV out here is ridiculous. friend of mine just failed the TUV inspection because the inspector said he needs to raise his driver seat up two inches because he cant see clearly out the windows. But the funny thing about it is the car is completely factory S15 from the sates ans nothing was changed. So how do you fail something that is still stock? These TUV people have too much power over people cars. So he failed because the guy is a midget...

Nearly stock S14 (only Eibach springs and K&N Airfilter) = 8:59 BTG (Bridge to Gantry)
Modified S14 (but street-legal) = 7:59 (complete lap)
