I've never been a big fan of the z31. More into s30s and s130s since my dad and grandfather owned a few. But this thread is making the z31 look damned cool.

^^^S30 is dope, of course. But I've always felt like the Z31 was the spiritual father to the 180sx, except with T-tops, digi-dash and a stout ass turbo engine from the factory. I mean, the early Z31's come stock with T3 turbos! BPU mods take that old ass motor to 280whp. Send the turbo to Pure Turbos to rebuild it for a relatively cheap/easy 500hp with the right supporting mods. CX Racing (meh) makes an off the shelf V-mount intercooler kit for it...
Plus you can add more displacement swapping the VG30ET for the VG33E from a Pathfinder/Frontier/Exterra . Intake manifold swaps over too. Hell, go with the factory supercharged VG33ER if you want. Big problem is that junk suspension. The fronts swap with S-Chassis parts pretty easy, but the rear subframe has always been a headache. However, now theres a few S-chassis subframe swap kits available, so that helps some, I guess.

I thought about finding a 280zx before I bought my s14. Dropped the idea after I couldn't find one that wasn't a rusted out shit pile. I love me some inline 6.

Yeah, I much prefer I6 to any other engine configuration too (except for maybe VR6). But the VG30ET is compact & simple enough that I won't complain much.
Wouldn't touch the VG30DETT at all though. No thanks. You know, some JDM Z31's did come stock with RB20's... RB25 swaps are common as well.

Every time I search for Z32 widebody fenders, they never list how wide they are... Anybody know the width & brand of these?

IIRC, they are origin 20mm. Franklin can correct me if I'm wrong though.
