tomei throttle body vs oem n15 pulsar

Is there a difference between the tomei throttle body and the oem throttle body? There seems to be one HELL of a mark up on these. Here is a link to the throttle body that includes adapters. http://www.enjukuracing.com/products...FYdgfgodsx8AzA $919.99

This link shows the oem (not so shiny throttle body) http://www.frsport.com/Nissan-16119-...E_p_59995.html $558.59

Plus the adapters http://www.frsport.com/Tomei-193054-...ET_p_1173.html $135.99

all together on frsport http://www.frsport.com/index.php?target=cart
$694.59

Somebody please HELP! Both throttle bodys are 70mm. One seems to be more shiny than the other and thats about it. Does tomei modify these throttle bodys or something? The price difference just doesnt make any sense.

The OEM N15 throttle body (70mm) has been on back order for a very long time, and there is no crazy mark up that is just what they cost from Nissan Japan to the USA market. we sell them for $489.00

See if you can get your hands on the Era1 72mm throttle body, it bolts on a works perfect. I think they closed down though.

LOL at enjuku's "tomei" part number being the exact same as the OEM nissan one you linked. Might be your answer there.

It took me a long time of searching to find mine. I found it used on a forum by Google searching. It also came with DIF adapters, but I think they are out of business too. The Tomei kit comes with and OEM throttle body, time I just made the adapters.

They are Exactly the same part! Tome does Polish theirs as part of the mark up.

I have an N15 if you need detailed pictures!

*RNN15 TPS uses a different plug... you can modify the S13/14 Sensor to fit.
