what size injectors and pump? was that on 93 oct?

and for all of the guys asking fuel system questions i'm running a single bosch 044 mounted in tank on the original hanger using -6an earls ss line for feed and return. if you do a little bit of fab work it's not that hard to get the pump on there but it is a tight fit at the bottom of the tank.

imo some of you are going a little bit overboard with your fuel systems unless you seriously are planning on making 1000hp+. i'm not trying to pee in your cereal but in most cases 5-600whp is plenty and is lots of fun in a car like the 240.

@DEFTEC....I could see a high 9sec run with that setup as long as you have the fuel to support and as long as the tranny (assuming R154) holds up. Running any spacers? What clutch?

Any pics of your fuel setup? That's pretty much the same setup i have in mind to do.

1000cc injector dynamics/aeromotive pump. They're maxed out on this 6766 with c16.
Marlin crawler internals on the r154.
There's no doubt in my mind it's capable of a 9 second run lol. It was a consistent mid 10second car with the junk ass t78 on 23psi.

Very similar setup my friend and I meant high 9's lol....MC rebuilt internals and new OEM gear setup. I bought the 1450cc for E85 use. What a/r?

@Ranman....also depends on fuel used and power goals. A single 044 is a great setup for sure. A member on SF hit 679rwhp on -6, FIC 2150cc, and a Walbro 400 pump on E85. Anything over that and he would have needed a second pump and larger - fuel for sure. Plus it helps to have massive injectors like his but most of us wont be running anything that dramatic.

damn that's not good news to me. i have the id 725cc injectors but i was told by Darin D that we could make 600whp or very close to it with them on my built block with hks 264 cams. i suppose i'm going to have to turn the static fuel pressure up a bit but it's no big deal my haltech ps2000 is fucking awesome, tuning fuel is super easy with it.

i got sick of having r154 issues and went v160 with the rps billet carbon carbon. this clutch is super sex and i'm on the same mt tire as you but on 16" rx7 rims. 26 10.5 16 and they sure do get sticky when warm. i put down a 200' burnout with them and got the cops called on me and that was before i built the motor.

Anyone have any experience with the ChaseBays fuel line kit for the 1j/2j?

These -> Chase Bays Fuel Line Kit - 1JZ-GTE | 2JZ-GTE Nissan 240sx - Nissan 240sx - ChaseBays.com

Or should I just piece together my own?

Thanks.

Anyone know what stock s14 fuel lines are good for max hp wise?

I thought about using the stock lines, but with this big of a turbo, the hell with that.

I'm running a fuel cell, surgetank, etc. -6 lines to and from rail.

Also had another question. Before I pulled the 1jz out of my other car, the car would not start. I had signal to both spark plugs and fuel injectors, if I sprayed some brake clean into the manifold the car would start so i'm obviously not getting fuel... I tested the fuel pressure on my AEM fuel pump and i was reading 52psi. Then I went on to check the pressure on the stock FPR and it read's 0.. My questions are, is 52psi to much pressure for a stock FPR? or is it just that my FPR just crapped out... The car did start before untill we had an issue with an O-Ring for the gas tank went bad but the pump was only flowing at 43psi before we changed the O-Ring. Also I have a 40amp relay on the pump could that also be an issue? I dont see why but then again im not to good with anything electrical...

hanger has a brace coming off the hat , lines come from hat, pumps are staggered and hoses ran down to the socks
its a tight fit but can be done

i did this to put off putting a cell in the car but i think im going to bite the bullet and put a cell it it since i dont like the s14 tank set up, or pull the sub frame and build a 10-12 gal cell to go in the stock location

look nice yes work ...sometimes try buying a 1000 harness and have to rewire it to make it work, have had this problem om multiple cars(hondas and 2j 240s) and no help what so ever from them, basickly said it should work must be a problem on your end

A local guy did it like this:

Two 3/8 lines from each 255 pump into a y block to 1/2 line to the rail. He used the old feed line as a return with fuel lab reg. 850cc injectors + map2 ecu. 500+ whp.

I couldn't imagine trying to stuff 3 255's in a S13 Tank. F that idea.
I ran 2 255's for a year and hated it. 1 DW300 is in it now with no issues.

that would all depend on gas or e85 exc.. and what base fuel pressure and how many psi of boost it will be on

I would like to do pump.but seems like e85 is the way to go.
Excuse me for not having straight answers. But I'm at the point to buy a engine cause I basically have everything else minus custom harness. My goal is around 600whp seems like a 2jzgte can make that easier than a 1jz I want a good powerband. Also I'm tryn to think ahead for making more power in the future because I will be using stock twins for a little bit. But I would like to have the right fuel set up so I don't have to re do it later on maybe just injectors and rail.
Any input is appreciated.

Supporting mod choices will be everything?
i want to start my 180sx w/ 550hp and eventually hit 700hp, i have a dual BB PT6776 i plan on using a aem V2, was planning on getting injector dynamics but not sure about going e85, was always planning on using pump but e85 pumps are easy to find near me and i havent bought any fuel parts yet, will i need E85 to hit 550-700? also what fuel rails are you people using? and what do you prefer Chase bays harnesses VS Wiring specialties?

@Rick...read post #1835.

@turbo-2ns....I hear ya. I sold my twin 044's in order to try these Aeromotive Stealth Pumps since the 044's are huge and I was not patient enough to try and set them up. I also got a smoking deal on the PHR-Twin Aeromtive setup so I couldnt let it pass. The setup was made for Ben Freed's (Freed Engineering) car.....and as you can tell the man doesnt cut corners.

@Omar....dang didnt know you ran triple denso's at one point. Is that when the fuel cavitation issues began?

@2Step...ID injectors are great but you also have other options out there for your goals. FIC makes some great injectors and Precision 1200cc injectors took a few people I know into the high 700 low 800rwhp and they are rather cheap in comparison. If you are already mentioning 700rwhp then just setup your fuel system for E85 because sooner than later you will get the bug and want to reach that goal. We have plenty of E85 stations near us especially on Long Island. If you can setup your system for E85 why not......especially since AEM has been promising fuel blending tables forever so they should be able to provide something soon. Also, other options include AEM Infinity or ProEfi and also MegaSqirt V3......people are having great success with that system elsewhere. One of my friends is using Haltech and he loves it for the price. I am using Omar's old FIC -8 dual feed fuel rail. And as far as wiring....go to M&S in Deer Park and have them do the work....if you dont know about M&S go on SF and you will clearly see they are the premium 2jz shop in NY. PM me if you need their contact info.

For fuel I plan to run -8 AN from pump to firewall, "Y" -8 AN into dual -6 AN, to dual fed fuel rail with -6AN return

Currently I'm running the stock fuel lines.
