Hey guys, what would I need to do to put an 89-90 bumper on a '92??

Are the fenders the same?  What specific parts would I need if any to make the swap?

Does anyone have an 89-90 bumper in good condition they wanna sell me (as long as it has factory under-spoiler)

Some of you might think I'm crazy but the 89-90 bumper looks 10 times as tough as the 91+ to me.... Especially with a big fat intercooler hehehe...

Yeah but I think the 89-90 has an extra crease in the fenders that runs to the top of the bumper... can anyone confirm or deny this statement??

bluesix...runs to the top of fender? &nbsp;you talking something like a vertical crease? &nbsp;kinda like a acura 3.2 CL? &nbsp;or are you talking about the horizontal crease that shows the actual &quot;bumper&quot;? &nbsp;the 91-94 also has the horizontal crease, but it's way way less prominent...you can kinda see it on the side of the front, but it's definately hidden in the center.

I've owned both '89 and '92 model 240s, and each bumper has advantages and dissadvantages. I love the smoother look of the 91+ bumpers, and the nissan logo <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> The '89 does look more fearsome nearer the ground, specially with the chin spoiler. Makes it look wider. . . I don't recall seeing an extra crease on the fenders of the '89, but I haven't had the car for a while.

I have a '89 bumper on the front of my '91 which has the original fenders, and I haven't noticed any crease lines that do not match up. &nbsp;I would post a pic, but I failed the last two times I tried....

Same fenders, the only thing you need other than the bumper itself, is the bumper re-inforcement that goes behind the plastic. The bolt pattern of both years is the same but the actual piece is thicker on the 91-94.

Why do you want the 89-90 front bumper when you already have an aftermarket bumper?

cuz my bumper got ruined, and even if I could repair it, I wouldn't want to keep it anyways as it's too flashy and impractical, especially since I plan on lowering the car half an inch once I get some new struts to go with my new springs... &nbsp;I also haven't found any other aftermarket bumpers that I like, and are practical...

I'm not about to get another low ass bumper that I have to worry about every time I see a speedbump or a driveway that slopes up.. &nbsp;

Here's a pic of the bumper when new, and when ruined...

&lt;img src=&quot;http://www.wickednet.org/attached/cstrike/240SXJUN.jpg&quot;&gt;

I hit an empty 5 gallon gas container that flew over the side of the bridge I was on, directly in front of me... nothing I could do to avoid it.. The shitty thing is, it was a low bridge over a wide river type swamp and I think that someone on a boat threw it onto the highway for fun... It wasn't windy enough at all to carry a container like that, and the way it flew upwards from beneath the bridge, it seemed like someone would have had to thrown it upwards to get it to fly at that angle... &nbsp;

Like I said, I really like the 89-90 bumper, and it would go really well with my hood.... Looks like I'm gonna go junkyard searching for a bumper and reinforcement!! woo!

Nah, it's not Bomex, it's a JUN bumper as is the hood.. Big $$$ but I'm a crazy bastard like that... &nbsp; Anyway, even if the 90 bumper is lower, I still want it since it's urethane and will not crack if it scrapes the ground... Also, it doesn't go as far forward like most aftermarket bumpers do... &nbsp;It kinda slopes up as it goes forwards...
