Hi I have a Nissan 180sx 1997 it will turn over when I turn the key but won't start. but when push started it will start and it will also start when jumped. I have had the starter reconditioned and also changed fuel pump and coolant temp sensor. I have checked the ignition and fuses + relays. I have checked the wiring also. Any help would be appreciated

I had a similar issue on my last s13, i had to take apart the ignition cylinder and re-adjsut the pins in the electrical portion to make better contact before it would start with my key and not push starting

Just mess with it, as the key turns the tumbler it makes contact, if not all pieces are making good solid contacts nothing is going to happen. It took a few minutes for me to get it to the point that it was turn key every single time.
