I im looking into buying a 240sx and i want to know a little about the engine. First of all how hard would it be to run 12's and what exactly would i need to do this. Also how much HP can this engine run without having to rebuild it. Any help would be great. Thanks!

If you dont plan to do a Turbo KA or NOS or SR20DET then there is no way to get your car in the 12's. With the other three option it still takes ALOT to get the car in the 12's. Take a look at my car and its setup, I should be running about 13.5+/- 1/4 mile. You can get the DOHC engine to pull 14.9 with the main bolt ons.

I" target="_blank">http://www.homestead.com/rollhard/files/14mile.html

I</a> don't recall how much a 240sx weighs ....but 2800lbs @ 300Hps yeilds ~13flat 1/4 mile

Are you going to trust an engine that you've never looked into, added bolt-on parts to, turned the boosted up on, and expect it to perform at every red light? &nbsp;I don't think you should treat rebuilding as an option, but something that must be done.
