My s13!!!!
Hey this is my first forum page so dont hate...
I Have a 1990 s13 its has a dohc ka24 that runs like crap.. It was a sohc swapped over to a dohc by last owner. Im having a hard time fixing it he told me the onley prob was that the distrubter was not in timeing... Ok i got it in timeing..And its still really bad im thinking that he did not put a dohc MAF or CPS or distrubteror or ECU... Im not sure on how to tell if it it the sohc parts or dohc parts and im not made out of money to just go buy all new parts if they are not the problem... Any help would be great.. Thank you |

Timing a KA is a pain in the dick!!
Set your #1 piston to TDC, verify marks on the crank, use a light gun to make sure when your motor is spinning that you are setting to specified Factory timing specs. Doesnt sounds hard but taking the dizzy in and out can be a pain cuz you could be 180 degrees off. Takes some time |
