Helppppppppppppphelppppppppppppp

alright so i just finished throwing in this ca18det swap in my s14 . i upgraded the stock turbo to a gt28 turbo , i am noticing when i drive the car , 1-3 gears are fine when i get to 4th gear and hit about 3100 rpm with the throttle fully open nothing happen after that point until i go under the 3100 rpm mark. its usually right before the boost kicks in in those high gears.

and when i get to 5th gear i can not exceede about 2500 rpm .

i am not sure if this would link to a maf problem. or a boost problem .

but i can pretty much red line the car in the first 3 gears and boost no problem.

some input would be nice ! thanks ZILVIA PEEPS.

Not too familiar with the CA18, are there 4th gear and 5th gear sensors in the transmission? If so, are those plugged in? Does it feel like a fuel cut when you exceed the rpms?

it feels like everything cuts out, and not slowly its as if the car shut off or something, it only does this once i get to that rpm. the car use to be automatic ka but i converted the harness and rewired it onto the tranny

try and pick up an automatic ecu, i think it disregards all of the gear sensor issues and still runs flawless, maybe someone else has insight on this

I'd guess something with the tranny sensors or the ECU itself. Double check all the wiring connections in between.

ya the kid before burnt his wire harness and the ecu so i got it rewired and got a ecu off someone . the ecu is a bit different as the old one was from a silvia and the one i got was from a 180sx ca18det but the motor is the same so i dont see why it would affect it. i figured this problem occurss when i reach a certain speed.
