s13 Need help ordering Wheels..?

Would it be bad to stagger with more offset in the front then the rear for drifting. I noticed most owner's have negative offset in the rear with like zero or positive offset in the front. I am thinking to give myself more negative offset in the front and keep it like zero or positive offset in the rear.

offset means nothing without the wheel width. you could run 17x7's in the front with a 0 offset and then 17x10 in the rear with a 30 offset and have the wheel poke more.

Its all simple math really

just out of curiousity, why do you want your wheels staggered the other way?

No NOT for the fwd drag look. So basically Offset is for Wheel clearance. Because I thought Should get a better offset for drifting.

LOL..... "better offset for drifting"?

Its all about wheel fitment, offset doesnt effect your drifting.

what he said. offset is more about looks than performance.

well if your "drifting" maybe get some matching tires all around first so you can rotate your wheels then when you get better get big ol set of sweet deep dish rims that are wider in the REAR since you drive a RWD car you know for better traction.

Playing with offset just helps with coilover clearance, brake clearance and looks. Width and weight of the rims would aid you in performance.

What do you have s13 or s14?? A lot of s13 guys run the same width tire all the way around or maybe a tad bigger out back.. s14 guys usually run a bigger tire out back because theres more clearance.

As far as offset like everyone else said its just for fitment..

you're kidding right? why would most people have it that way if it wasn't the best for drifting? not that it has that much to do with it.. like everyone else already said..

because it looks good. thats all. it has nothing to do with drifting, it just so happens that that is how most drifters like their cars.

edit: woops. didnt read it right the first time. my bad.

I guess the only way you get better grip up front is by tossing wide rims up there...hmm, wonder why nobody have ever thought of that. Maybe because you can put some really sticky tires up front and achieve that without looking like a DUMBASS...
