KA 1991 S13 Hatchback

Car is located in Central Indiana

I built this car as a Street League drift car. This last weekend I drove it 300 miles round trip to drift all day at a Drift Indy Back to Basics event. Many people can vouch for the time I have put into making this car solid, simple, and reliable. It is just a little too loud and a little too radical for what I am trying to do.

DRIVETRAIN / COOLING
This motor was machined and assembled by Jim Stewart at Stewart Racing Engines. It was balanced with the clutch/flywheel attached.
-Built KA24DE
-Manley Connecting Rods (Forged)
-Wiseco 9.0:1 Pistons (Forged 89.5mm)
-Cometic Head Gasket
-ARP2000 Head Studs
-ARP2000 Rod Bolts
-BCR 264/264 Camshafts
-NISSAN OEM girdle bolts
-NISSAN OEM oil pump (Lower cover).
-NISSAN OEM water pump
-Mishimoto S14 Radiator
-Competition Clutch 350Z 6-puck clutch kit w/lightened flywheel
-Aluminum one-piece driveshaft
-Welded differential
All motor accessories (oil pump, water pump, alternator, girdle bolts) were purchased brand new for the motor build.

FORCED INDUCTION / FUEL
-Precision 5431 T3 Turbo (.63 Rear A/R)
-CX Racing Chromoly top mount turbo manifold.
-TIAL V44 Wastegate (12PSI spring)

ELECTRONICS / TUNING
-Full standalone ECU (MS3X)

-Oil Pressure sensor. Ability to add Fuel as well.
-The ECU has onboard datalogging to SD card
-Semi-sequential fuel/spark. (Using AEM trigger wheel)
-Individual coil-near-plug using LS6 ignition coils.
-Innovate LC-2 Wideband
-Boost controller is controlled by the ECU. Ability to do boost by gear and other boost strategies.
-Very simple chassis wiring harness. Includes the following:
-Headlights, Tail lights, Brake Lights, Plate Light, Turn Signals, Power -Windows, and Interior Dome/Map lights. I have done the wiring with adding on in mind. There is room for more circuits.
-ARC 8000 Switch Panel runs fuel / ignition / starter / fans and also powers the peripherals needed such as boost controller and wideband.
-Android Note 7 Tablet with MSDROID to display all gauges and data obtained by the Megasquirt computer. This setup works very well and is very inexpensive.
-Battery is relocated to the rear with a Deka14 Gel Mat battery. Battery box is an off-road fabricated steel box welded to the chassis.

SUSPENSION / STEERING / BRAKES

The Good:
This car has great parts on it. They were installed with care in order to create a reliable yet powerful drift car. It is drift ready right now. The car will drive anywhere and can be turned into a full street car with little work, or a full racecar with little work depending on your needs. It will probably never be a daily driver though.

The Bad:
Fiberglass is tired. It is all there and can be repaired, but someone that is very picky as I am will want to replace it.
The car does not take a key to start nor do I have the correct key for the door locks / trunk lock.
Car needs new balljoints and could use a complete bushing set.
Car is only tuned to 15PSI (and very conservatively at that).. If you wish to use this motor to its potential, you will need to have it tuned beyond 15psi.
Both rear quarters exhibit meetings with a wall.. They have been pushed back out and are covered by most brands of fiberglass fenders. This damage is minimal. (shown in pictures)
The car needs a proper PCV/Catch can system.. Right now the block is venting to atmosphere. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just something that would make the car a little nicer.

I have many extra parts that will go with this car. There are a few things that I would like to keep from the car. This is where there can be some negotiation in the price. I would like to keep the Sparco Seat, Grip Royal / NRG Wheel setup, and possibly my Varrstoen wheels (if you can provide your own). Feel free to make reasonable offers but please don’t waste my time.

Here's a link to some more pictures of the car over the last 3-4 years.
