Wrong bolt pattern stamped on wheels...?

Bought a set of 4 wheels on yahoo auctions japan... listing said they were 4/5x114.3 (i have a 5 lug s14)

My wheels are stamped 5x100, 4x100, and 4x114.3

Yet,

This....

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

here;s the stamping.

Looks like you're measuring it wrong.
You're supposed to measure from the center of hole to the next center of the hole.
Also make sure you measure from the correct holes. On your picture it doesnt look like you got the correct holes for a 5 bolt pattern.

well your S14 is 5x114.3 not 5x100, so there ya go
the wheels have probably been redrilled at some point , it's pretty common in the industry. Test fit them you should be good

i understand that 100%.

What im saying is that the new wheels aren't stamped 5x114.3 (they are stamped 5x100, 4x100, 4x114.3)

YET, the new wheels measure 5x114.3

Has anyone else seen something like this before?

EDIT, how could they be re-drills when they only have two patterns drilled yet denote 3? Now you are sayign that they added a fourth pattern? Theres only 9 holes dude.

Put them on your car and stfu? Lol jk, standard zilvia response. That is weird but with 9 holes it's plausible that it will fit 3 patterns. Maybe they have been redrilled like he said. It's not uncommon

but if they went fron 5x100 to 5x114.3 wouldn't the holes look like ovals?

Also, that "standard zilvia response" is funny. But, so that people know, i keep my car at my shop which is across town and i wont be there for a week.

what i used to do was have the original holes welded up and redrilled to the pattern that I wanted but we would usally just redrill them and use a pound in steel insert

I have one of those for 4 lug and one for 5 lug. makes shopping for wheels on CL so much easier. I think I picked them up on ebay for even cheaper than that link.

Every Gram Light 57d or f I have gotten are drilled 5x114.3 but are stamped 5x100. Probably just have 1 cast for the wheel design instead of like 20 and the 5x100 so happens to be what is stamped into it.... then desired bolt pattern is drilled at the plant.

yes i've seen stuff like this. Don't pay attention to what is stamped on the wheels, test fit them or if there's a sticker on it, read the sticker.

Don't quote me on this but I believe that just implies that the wheels could be manufactured down to 5x100, even though yours are 5x114.3. 5x100, 5x114.3, etc. are all probably using the same mold and after they've been cast they just machine it to the specs they need.

^ ya dude .... seen many japanese wheels that have a pattern cast/stamped on the back of the hub but end up being something else. I remember Buddy Club wheels saying 4x100 and being 4x114.3 and a whole bunch of Volk wheels marked 4x100 or 5x100 and they were 114.3 instead. It happens

Did you not nitice it has weights after each of those lug patterns? Pretty sure it simply states the load rating of that wheel for the different lug patterns.
These wheels were 5x120.
