I am in the process of switching to a top mount set up. The new turbo is not coolant fed. With the coolant lines can I just plug the feed with a bolt on the block? and just plug the coolant return line on the back of the head? Or should I take the coolant line that came with it and run that into the block then clamp it on the hard line behind the head? The only bad thing about routing it that way is it runs close by the waste gate dump. That could be bad after time, but I'll have the waste gate dump routed to the down pipe in due time.

yes.... you can plug the block and plug the line in the back with a bolt and clamp...

i pluged my block with a spark plug from my sr20.. thread pitch wasnt the same so i didnt force it in.. still went in 1/4 of the way and sealed everything off fine..i didnt even use any kind of sealer

That's what I was thinking would work.

Except the spark plug idea, I'll use an actual bolt, lol

im using a t04e so i can comment based on 1st hand experience ...
make sure you use a copper crush washer on the bolt to plug the feed... as far as the line on the back of the head, i cut both lines on the intake side and routed them straight to the heater core, which saves the messy loop behind the head and also saves you from having to plug the line.

how did you re-route all of them. I switched to a different intake manifold and this block is bare that I have right now so I'm going to eliminate as much stuff as possible. Plus putting it back together with haltech i'll get rid of a shit ton of wires everywhere also.

well, actually i just put a 180 loop on the two that i cut, because i dont drive the car in the winter or the rain or anything anyway. but the location i cut them would make it a breeze to run hose straight into the core... just cut them before they make the 90 degree bend behind the head and youll be good to go
