bigger turbo

well guys going to get the rb25 and i was looking to upgrade the turbo soon down the road i was looking at this by another member pointed me to this holset hx35. How do you like that over the garret gt3076r or what ever turbo you are using currently

borg warner turbos have a much better responce rate over the garret line, hands down. more power and if the center cartrage goes bad, its a fraction of the cost to repair it. i would go with a s362 or precision 6262. both great turbos making much better numbers than garrets and more reliable.

HX40 would be better, should be good enough to get you close to 600hp and not laggy at all. I've ridden in a couple cars out here with them on RB25s and they're definitely a cheap alternate to any turbos out there. Can be had from E-bay off some dodge trucks for less than $200. Rebuild kits are dirt cheap for them...

Here's my buddy's old RWD R32 with an HX40 turbo, 19cm housings...






Just be careful tho, his shit was snapping stock axles at around 600hp range...

well i getting the rb25 leave the turbo on for a bit till i save up. and how do you know that whereda40at. Is there a place that talking about them. I want to learn more before i ask question and get flamed

600 ya that alot. What other mods he have must been alot. What psi was it set to get that power

Absolutely stock RB25DET bottom end with mild headwork. He was boosting 2 bar for daily and pushing up 2.2 bar.

HKS 264 in/ex cams with matching cam gears
