Aggressive as in fast? I guess, my car only has a stock sr w/t25 at 9lbs so I try to make up for the lack of power by holding down the throttle more.

Well the drift season is pretty much over up here in MN so the car is going back into the shop. Have a few ideas on what I want to do to the car to make it better for next year, but nothing set in stone yet.
Friend let me borrow her camera so I took a chance to snap some photos (instead of using my horrible camera on my phone) didn't edit them though Some shots of the white s14 I picked up late last winter. In the process of getting winter tires, looking forward to having some fun this winter with this car again. And something just wonderful happened this weekend. Had to swap the sunroof out of my blue car for now. Sometimes its nice having duplicate cars.

Did a few thing with the drift car. Diving into another winter filled with buying and building new parts.
Also starting to work on getting everything together to start making custom sunroof brackets, and fiberglass glass replacements. Had a buddy that was parting out an s14 that was crashed, so I told him I wanted the roof. That way when creating the fiberglass deletes I don't have to deal with trying to fab using my own car. That's it for now, ordering the metal for the brackets this week, should be starting on fabricating them this coming weekend.

Also, I picked this up last Wednesday, exactly what I was looking for for this winter build.
Garret GT2860RS Doesn't quite fit right on the stock manifold so it will need a custom waste gate bracket (maybe) and a 90 welded onto the outlet of the compressor to get the coupler farther away from the exhaust manifold. Also popped the top of the sr for the first time, IDK looks alright to me, except for where the gasket around the coilpack/spark plugs leaked a bit. Unless anyone sees anything else wrong.

Haven't been able to do much lately on this car mostly because I wasn't to interested in heading out to the shop in the recent cold temperatures.
Ordered a few parts though to help with my power goals for this season. Subaru sti Side Feed Injectors (520cc) DIF s13 Bottom Mount Lines Few other odds and ends Last Saturday worked on mocking up the lines and figuring out how to extend the compressor housing. Installed the sti injectors as well. Will be hopefully getting the outlets welded up soon, a new wastegate bracket made as well. Now with temps at least around or above freezing its a little more motivating to head out to the shop so hopefully be doing more updates.

Also got in my AEM UEGO wideband.
Recently been spending more time building some sunroof track delete brackets though. Created a new design for the s14 version and have finally had a chance to build the one for s13 coupe with power moonroof/sunroof. Version2 of the S14 Bracket S13 Coupe Bracket Spent most of last night getting this figured out, would have been awesome if they where the same as s14, but everything is completely different. Put a lot of work into these things despite how simple they look.

Just let me know, I may try to make a couple more this weekend. I have a bit of down time while waiting for new parts to come in for the car.
Also a good friend just uploaded his recap video from Drift Days at USAIR this past season. Well worth a watch.

Was able to have a friend modify the compressor housing on the gt2860rs to work best with the bottom mount setup I'm running. Turned out great.
Was able to mount everything up, all lines hooked up except for one of the coolant lines, the DIF Bottom Mount line kit fit pretty great except for one line. I didn't like how it had a straight fitting that when hooked up would lay the line on top of the intake pipe. Will be switching to a -6AN 90* fitting to allow the best clearance. Also while installing the STI injectors I decided to upgrade the fuel rail bolts to something less likely to strip out.

So I would suggest to anyone that buys the DIF S13 Bottom Mount line kit to modify the coolant line from the -6AN straight fitting to the -6AN 90* fitting. Makes the line kit fit so much better.
Other then that got the motor put back together, installed the Drift Freaq mounts with new heat shield. The turbo setup looks pretty factory so far.

Other then that, that is about all MN has to offer, I personally would rather drive to USAIR in Shawano, WI to drive the ClubFR events.

Plenty of progress planned for this coming week.
Got this in, hopefully the ps doesn't boil over anymore. B&M Supercooler 70264 Got some other cool parts in as well. Relocated to a friends shop this weekend in hopes to have everything except painting aero and a tune done by next weekend.

Slow progress but its something.
Had Full Blown Motorsports clean and flow test my injectors. Got the power steering cooler setup done. Really like the way it turned out. Ordered a CXRacing intercooler pipping kit, I ordered this kit mostly to get the bends, plus I won't be so upset to hack it up in order to modify it to fit my setup. Made some progress on the intercooler piping but it was late, forgot to take some photos.

Some photos from this weekend.
Forcewerkz Navan Front and Sides with Kouki Rears, fittment is pretty spot on for the kit. Except my car had damage to the rear wheel wells so there will need to be modifications to the skirts to make them fit. Intercooler setup is pretty much done except for adding the Blitz BOV. Took quite a bit of modifications, plenty of cutting and welding but have successfully turned the cx kit into a 4 clamp setup that can fit the tubs, and ic location.

Finally got the new flange for the the BOV so that got welded on, also added a nipple for the vacuum line that connects to the T fitting on the valve cover. (Will add pics once I head out to the shop again.)
Got the car started, found some leaks, fixed those, seems to idle pretty good. Currently still only have the SAFC2 but hopefully will be switching over to an Apexi Power FC in the next few weeks. But for now at least the car can move under its own power. Also started on the side skirts, fitment for the forceworkz sides was pretty good on my white s14, not so much on my blue car (which had previous rear wheel well repair). Sides need to be cut and extended to make fit. Hopefully after all the work to fit aero on this car I don't blow them up right away at the track.

Made a tad bit of progress this weekend.
Picked up a Apexi Power FC so now I can get rid of the SAFC2 I was previously running. Also my friend made some progress on the sideskirts, almost ready to prep them for paint.

Got the Power FC installed and the car up and running now. Also cleaned up and made some room in the shop.

So while setting up the pfc during idle I notice that the car was having a vacuum leak.
Ended up pressure testing the system and found a leak at the IACV hose, BOV, manual boost controller, and the compressor housing of the turbo. Swapped in another Blitz BOV that a friend had laying around, ended up just getting rid of my manual boost controller, got a new clamp for the IACV hose, and had a fun filled day of removing and resealing the compressor housing. Although I'm happy to say that now I have no more vacuum leaks. Engine hoist worked out well to hold the manifold since I was the only one in the shop all day. For the most part the engine bay is finally buttoned up, may add an adjustable fpr setup but that's about it. Now all that's left before I can take the car to Drift Days is to finish/prep/paint the aero and to get the car tuned. Safe to say I can't wait to just drive this car instead of working on it all the time.

I love your build man! Keep coming with the updates!
Question: Where are you running your wastegate vac line too? I am curious because it does not look like you have it plumbed into the hot pipe and am debating on how to run mine without plumbing into the hot pipe. |

I actually bought a 1/8npt aluminum bung and welded it onto the hot pipe right before it makes its bend towards the headlights (its on the bottom side of the pipe, not really visible) then just put a 1/8npt to 4mm hose end fitting in.

Made a change for some rims that fit my stock bodied chassis a little better.
Wish they where the real things but there are more important areas to spend my money on this car before I dump money into rims. Will be painting them as well.
