What ebrake setup is that? Never seen it before but pretty clever mounting.

It's one of the coolest parts I've got in a while haha. I had the e-brake originally welded to the tunnel, but it still flexed. This eliminated any flex I had and looks way cleaner.

Finally some updates:
Final put together to install the engine. New wheel bearings, and a nut and bolt check. Clutch arrived with arp flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts and bellhousing bolts. Replacing the head studs. New gaskets finally came. Factory oil cooler cleaned and back on for now. Bye bye little turbo(to4e, used for mocking up pipes) Driftmotion mani installed(drilling required, haha). Bellhousing, clutch release hub, dash, waterneck, tailhousing and shifter extension show up this week. Engine goes in for the final time on Saturday.

Well this is starting to become a pain in my ass.
I had one day off to get home from Seattle to Portland and work on the car to get it ready to tow up to the new house. So, of course, everything possible is fucked. Some information for you 1j/2j peeps that need a shifter extension. I have an mk3 R154, picked up a 1jz bellhousing from Toyota. I also picked up a jzx100 tail housing with the stock shifter extension. The output shaft(s) bearing is different between the jzx100 and mk3/jzx90 transmissions. So the problem we had was not being able to pot the tail shaft on the mk3 transmission. I ended up swapping transmissions last minute with a friend who needed a shorter shifter for his Cressida. (lucky as hell). The bearing in question: That bearing meets with the tail shaft here: After all that jazz, started assembling everything for install:

Thanks mike! Shit's been a struggle lately.
Got moved to the new house over the weekend. I need a day off here pretty quick haha. Transmission with shifter extension housing all put together now. In the final stages of getting everything done. Fuel stuff is next!

I like that recessed area of the garage. It's nice to have all that area to work on stuff in front of the car.

Little update, I finally got the engine and trans installed with the Xcessive mounts. Everything lined up so well it was stupid. Such a breeze with all new hardware. I didn't have the issue with the trans mount being too big because I grabbed an Xcessive poly mount as well. And a protip: If you use a jzx100 tripod shifter, it will sit REALLY far back(but I dig it, makes it nicely within reach having the seat and everything moved back.

Thanks! THe manifold is decent, needs the holes hogged out to fit of course haha.
Some updates. Finally almost moved in. Some of the fuel stuff showed up: Got the return lines and fpr mounted up: Started routing the lines to the back of the car: Waiting on the fuel pumps, surge tank, clamps, and more fittings to show up. Finalized the intercooler piping and got the bov installed: Installed the new clutch line and tried to bleed it, and the clutch master let go haha. Getting a new one on Friday to finish that up. Bled the brakes and got that done as well. We are waiting on the turbo(hehe), couple fuel system stuff, and the water pump. After that gets done in the next week, the wiring will be finalized and dash gets installed. Then, start it.

Few updates. Talk about a long time.
Parts are finally coming in to finish her up. Mishimoto pusher fans, totally did not have room for them as pullers. Transmission completely installed at the correct height now. Waiting on the bosch 044 to finish up the fuel stuff and start adding the firewall and sheet metal to finish up. Took off al the stickers because I never got done in time for pro-am, looks a lot better I think. Waiting on all the turbo parts, almost the whole passenger side of the engine lol. Everything shows up this next weekend.

OK, this thread is ancient.
So quick recap, I never finished the hatch, was still needing a driveshaft and work fell off. I was working at Suckerpunch(game studio), and after first light was released, my contract ended. Soooo I had to sell :/ The last few years I bounced around studios(Microsoft, Suckerpunch again, and now steady at Oculus Research. So work is good, time to start again. Just picked up a 90 coupe with a singlecam 5-speed. It's seen better days, but we'll fix that. The coupe has original motor it seems, power steering rack is shot, had white plasti dip in spots, blown apexi coils, and a welded diff. Plans are to keep it simple(Try really hard at this), but this is for drifting here at Evergreen in Seattle. Power steering rack, es bushings for the sway, endlinks, rack are on teh way. FA coils. and voodoo arms are coming, with some wheels and tires as well. I think I've decided to go back to an SR(keep it simple) and a gtx2863(keep it simple). Parts start coming this week. I'll update as things go. Half the pictures from the previous builds seem broken and I'll see if I can fix them.
