Lol don't change your color because of me dude, I'm not the first person to paint my car dark green and I won't be the last, if you want dark forest green then god damn it paint your car dark forest green

Back when the car was white and I had version select V6 "kouki aero" and pretty much nothing about the car is still the same lol

I need to ask a noobish 180 question

The type x front, do you keep it all bolted together as one "bumper" when removing etc?

ie the spats & the lip

doesn't that belong in the aero thread?

what's the deal with genuine type x front, do you keep it all bolted together (lip, spats, bumper) when removing etc?

You can keep it all together, but the bumper extensions don't actually bolt to the bumper though but the lip will hold it together.

You can ziptie the bumper, extensions, and lip together, so then you can remove it as you would an aftermarket bumper.
Everyone comes up with their own method. The side skirts are the worst part.

This time around, for some reason I have an urge to actually mount my aero properly, but in a manner that will still allow me to take it off easily.
I am thinking wing nuts or something.

I had the same need for my aero. When I took it to the body shop the guy that did it gave the idea of stainless steel hex bolts with thread inserts.. it looks great and unbolts.. basically welded the inserts into the metal so there is a thread body and bolted it down with stainless hex bolts and stainless finishing washers for a clean look. doesn't look bad and it does its job which is to bolt and unbolt quickly. great idea. I would be interested to see how you go about accomplishing it. keep me posted.

except the hex bolt adapters are ugly as fuck. you can get a type x bumper to fit almost perfect with 2 bolts on each side ( where the fender and bumper meet) and the center piece (two bolts). All in all it talks maybe 10 min to remove my entire bumper.

what adapters are you talking about? I dont have type x, so fitment was an issue for me. However, when I did have type X, i do agree. Fitment was perfect and it was super easy uninstall with just two bolts on the inner fenderwell area.
