Keep in mind that federals run big.
Most tire shops should have a cheetah. But then again, most tire shops don't like to stretch for liability reasons.

Yeah they do run really big and have crazy soft sidewalls. My tire guy doest it at his house and yeah we use a cheetah, sometimes have to strap the tire to bulg the sidewall but thats scary sometimes. To get my 235 40 18 falken 512's on my 10.5 rpf1 we used starter fluid to heat up the sidewalls then hit it with the cheetah, the heat made the sidewalls soft enough to stretch. I really want to see a close-up picture of a Freddy 215 35 18 on a 9.5 rpf1.

Word. 18x9.5 +12 235/40/18 Hopefully being replaced tomorrow SUPER FAIL. I'm not gonna run anything bigger than a 215 federal ever again.

Yeah Falkens on Works look really nice.
We stretched some FK452s in 215/40/17 on my 17x9.5 VS-KFs, and all we did was air it up with the valve inside the valvestem out. Got the sidewalls to bead, then we put the valve back in and got it to like 35psi I think. Most nonchalant and easy stretch ever. We tried to put some Falken ZE912s in 215/45/17 size on FNs in 17x9 and that was a bitch and a half even with the ether + fire method. Cheetah didn't work for some reason. |

Actually, my 215/40 Federals on a 17x9 stretched J shaped compared to a bulge.
I didn't like em too much. DZ101's, here I come!

Weird...I always fun Feddys in the rear because they stretch better than any other tire I've run.

Hmm since we're on the topic of stretching Federals, anybody got a pic of a car with 225/40 on an 18x10 +18?
You're welcome to edit/delete this post if it doesn't belong here, Crimson. edit: Thank you, BlitzRPS13 Stretch looks like what I wanted when I put 225/40 on a 9.5

I was running federals last year
215/35/18 on a 9" 225/40/18 on a 10" federals are suuuper easy to stretch. the 9" didnt even need a cheata/blaster. just aired it up and it popped into place. theyre not extreme stretches, but i live in the middle of nowhere and some tire shops wouldnt even touch the 225/40 on a 10 |
