Pretty stoked to finally be able to post up, and actually have something to contribute today! Got everything installed yesterday, and so far has gone really well. Working out some boost control issues with my EBC, but I'll be sorting that out today hopefully!

Turbo is installed!!

Got some pretty big PS leaks there!

I'd also be careful with the bend you have in that teflon oil feed line. Once that teflon liner kinks, you'll get almost zero oil flow through there. The outer braid will straighten out and you probably won't be able to tell.

Also, at this power level, say 350whp, can the regular walbro 255lph fuel pump handle it? Or should I be upgrading now?

Walbro 255 can easily handle 350 rwhp on stock fuel lines and gas. It can even do it on E85 with enough injector, but you're starting to push the limits of stock lines a little past there.

I've got the DeatschWerks 255lph w/ 840cc injectors at around 370hp and no issues so far.

Also, to answer your question about the internal WG flap, I actually just got a locker bar for mine.

What does your AFR look like in 2nd and 3rd?

In my car, if I do a full pull in 4th, it is dead solid 11.6-11.7 all the way til 8k pretty much.

However, in 2nd it hangs around 12.3, and 12.0 in 3rd. I just figured that the fuel pump wasnt able to keep up since it rips through those gears so fast?

The leaner AFR in lower gears is the hysteresis of the MAF affecting the measurement vs. actual more and more. You also have hysteresis in your wideband O2 that is probably affecting results somewhat as well.

Nice, I removed my engine to do the clutch, replace the rear main seal and to get the manifold welded up by codyace for an EWG. I just ordered the stage 8 bolts, some of the new studs I used to install the turbo seemed looser than when I installed them a month ago.

BKR7EIX's - stock 0.028" gap should be fine for this turbo. I'd maybe think about 8's if you're doing a lot of track time. Mine would range from looking fine to maybe a hair on the hot side with lots of track usage.

Ngk bkr7s as well. I ran 30 gap until I went to a bigger turbo. Had to go down to 24 gap when I got past 430rwhp.

Ok, so I lost compression in #4 this weekend at the track (only 80psi), so looks like Im going to do a full rebuild. What kind of build specs are you guys running on built engines? how long have you had it together and running (miles/years)? And how has it affected reliability and driveability?

Also, to answer your question about the internal WG flap, I actually just got a locker bar for mine.

Couple dumb questions....
1.Why not use the stock locking plates(where the tabs fold up) instead of where you have those nordlocks?

2. Can Nordlocks be used instead of those copper locking nuts? Or is it well known that new copper locking nuts will hold?

3. Does anyone ever have issue with the bolts that hold the center section to the inlet/exhaust housings coming loose?

I'd like to just spend money on the hardware now and not have to worry about stuff coming loose. Open to suggestions.

Hey guys had a few questions as to where my set up might stack up..
Vtc s14 sr
9.1 wiseco 87mm
1.2 tomei gasket
1mm over sized valves 3 angle intake 5 angle exhaust
Jwt s4 cams
Stock turbo mani ported and coated
T25+ t31 turbine housing moded for external gate
Gtx2867r

Should be getting on a dyno in a few months

My question is with the t31 t2 housing it flows like a full t3 at .63ar will this flow more like a .86 t2 or more like the .64? I want a really quick response

Also what do y'all believe my limit on boost with pump gas will be I'm running a custom cell -6 fuel line areomotive a750 pump feeding Nismo 740cc injectors will be doing an ls2 coil upgrade soon but first dyno will prolly by on the stock ignition system... Any input would be great!

Well my 740's will limit me to petrol but I've been thinking of running a race gas pump mix, I'd like to see 400 whp with crazy fast spool... And maybe full race gas and 20+ psi to see what the set up is really capable of.

No need to run race gas
With your setup you should yield 380-390 hp on pump
420 on E85 easy

Y'all are making me feel confident with the set up I chose s4 cams due to my engine having vtc hoping that will make some tq down low and the s4's really shining up top I'm a total noob when it comes to this stuff so really not knowing what to expect it's been about 3 years of collecting parts and doing research...
