you can do any combination of paddle, gearshift, gearshift/clutch through the race lol.

THe game sucks...when theres tire smoke, it gets all pixelated around the car and with the interior view, the shadows are pixelated. Feels like im playing ps2. I dont think it was worth the wait at all.

i disagree
buy a good wheel and you will see.....besides. who the fuck plays from outside.
through a g27, you can actually feel wheels dropping off course, or pulling from a rumble strip. it literally feels like a racetrack feedback. its fucking amazing man. the clutch points are different for every car to slip the clutch. i can overlook minor imperfect "smoke" details for that level of awesomeness.

When i play a game, and i can refer it to my track time....its a good game

Just picked up my copy 25 min ago. Now I have to sit at work all day.

IGN gave it a 8.5. They had some valid issues with the game (you can't change brakes???!!! wtf?), but I don't think it's going to take away from my experience at all.

Besides there has been plenty of movies and games I don't agree with the critics on.

ALSO, if you put a muffler on, it has a generic sound.
the sport, stainless, and titanium all have diff sounds...but i put a sport on a boss mustang, and it made it sound like a honda. very disappointed

ill find a few other things, but for now that is what i have found.

i'm interested in hearing some more peoples thoughts on the game. hearing about "no brake upgrades and the sound being off" doesn't make me wanna go out and buy it right now.

Especially since i don't even own a PS3 yet and to spend almost $400 on a system is a crazy thought.

that really GT5? the polygon count looks really low/simple.

So how are the preorder cars? are they cars that can be bought later in the game? since its a code they are obviously already in the game.

I am waiting for UPS.

Those guys without a hdtv, use your computer monitor. I have a 22inch with a hdmi-dvi cable.. I can only run 720 though but still good enough. Newer monitors have hdmi and full 1080 support.

just seems really half-assed

i was really looking forward to a fully rendered 180sx with cockpit view but then again i expected that they couldn't have cockpit views for EVERY car in the game but the fact that the visuals and detail on standard cars is so poor is just underwhelming.

I was thinking about buying a PS3 just for this game but I wanted to hold off so I can hear peoples comments/criticism.

So far, im glad I have not purchased it, I may be a ricer w/e but a big turn off for me is that the cars do not sound like they should. Thats what im very happy about with Forza.

Well see, hopefully in the future they will release dlc to update stuff like this otherwise i will most likely not buy the game

im wondering if some of the 3d models of the older existing cars have been carried over from gt3-gt4 with just high res textures applied to them, because that s14 just reminds me of gt3 carried over.
