240sx banjo bolt for powersteering fits, so I'm just going to order the earl lines/an adapters that you'd use for the s-chassis powersteering and just get a longer line.

Dudes need a couple answer that you gurus might know.
1. What size lines do I need to replace the small coolant lines that run along the top of the engine? 3/8?

2. I dont have the idler pulley that the fan was attached to. Do you guys utilize this or just not put a pulley on there?

3. How did you guys connect the throttle cable to the throttle body? I've got some ideas, but I'd rather see what you guys did.

Not sure about the coolant line. As far as I know, the clutch fan pulley needs to be run with washers on top of it to take up the space where the fan once was. i don't think you can route the belt otherwise. I've got a pretty easy solution for the throttle cable too, but i'd have to take pictures of it for you. I'll get those up soon.

XATracing has a power steering line kit for $170 for 1uz/s13 I might just go with that if I can't figure it out.

For powersteering:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-130606ERL Powersteering hose.

To s-chassis steering rack:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-991954ERL

To 1UZ powersteering pump (LS400 style) (You'll need to add a couple washers to this, otherwise it'll bottom out in the pump):
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-9919DFJERL

90degree elbows that connect to the lines and the aforementioned adapters you need two of these:

Yeah, 6 foot is a little crazy, I think that 6 foot is the shortest you can get it. If I only need 3 feet, I'll probably just do a return line too.

Edit: 6 feet is probably about right. I wanted to run mine near the frame rail to keep it away from the headers.

Who has an extra 1uz laying around? I need to pick up the fan pulley (GS300, even though same partnumber, fuckin sticks out 1/8th in towards the radiator) and the banjo bolts for the fuel lines.

Or does anyone know the size for the banjo bolts for the fuel lines?

Do any of you know if a 95 alternator can be used on a 93? It should just depend on the plugs shouldn't it?

Fries, how can you install the EAR-9919DFJERL into the power steering pump? Mine is an o-ring'ed nipple that has two screws holding it in. I have it hooked up with a soft line right now and seems to be working fine.

For LS400 1uz powersteering pump
Change the hardline and banjo bolt to the EAR-9919DFJERL.

For Schassis steering rack

Remove return line to gain access to the highpressure line. Remove setup and install with the Earl's fitting.

Step by step wasn't for you bro, its for anyone else. You're far stronger in mechanical ability that I am.

Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about the low pressure line (I do not have the badass reservoir-on-pump setup).

Lucky fuckers with your sc400 1uz. Minor pieces make it so much easier. However the reservoir/powersteering pump combo eliminates one piece from my engine bay which is cool.

Also bought a fire extinguisher for electrical fires... pretty necessary considering my wiring experience.

Good to know that sikky sway bar fits!

I made some offset sway bar brackets that I have yet to install. I actually don't mind it without a front sway bar.

Anyway, I've got my bodywork almost all on now so I'll be posting a pic for you all soon.

anyone know why the driveshaft has to be cut down? Im having a discussion with my Tuner who says it has to but doesnt know the exact reason why. Im using suprastore's clutch kit for the 1uz and XAT racings adapter and pilot bearing. I also orderd suprastores os giken conversion for the clutch to make it all work. and i have a set of engine mounts that I can drill out myself. so why the shorter shaft?

I just ventured into the same problem sorta. My engine mounts set my motor like 3/4" too far forward. I have Brett Collins mounts. I think I remember seeing someone else with this same problem on their s14 with his mounts. Someone she'd me some knowledge on how I can fix this. Pictures would be amazing if you have them.

Search complete. basically it puts the engine too far forward for whatever reason. so why not cut down the shaft and make mounts for the trans to sit back 2 7/8's farther. and cut a notch in shifter.

I run my KA trans in the original location. Stock drive shaft. I hadto slot and extend bretts mounts to move the engine forward. I had to run pusher fans because of this but it all works awesome. Here is my complete build thread which might help some guys out. http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/hy...upe-build.html
