Something behind the timing belt cover? Maybe the water pump gasket or the pump seal failing? I'm just grasping at straws, I'm not at home so I can't really look at my engine to give you any ideas.

Something directly behind the crank pulley on the bottom side.

Sorry haven't been able to take a look. It's been pouring over here since yesterday morning.

What clutch flywheel combo is everyone using?

What trans are you running? I have a full set up for a ka/sr trans that has brand new ACT lightweight flywheel and pressure plate. Just needs a disk. I only mounted it, car never ran. Let me know if you need it!

So here's that hole where the water was coming from. After a brisk cleaning I realized it was a hole in a plastic cover.

So, after downloading a tutorial on waterpump replacement from ClubLexus I started removing stuff until I could see the waterpump... behold, a $2.00 freeze plug is going to cost me $150 to replace the entire waterpump. Looks like it's been leaking for a while too. Oh well, at least I'll have peace of mind.

Looks good without any of the front covers

How much of an improvement is there from tubular manifolds? I may just go with modified logs if the improvements from tubular aren't that significant

Yes, I have whiteline. SIKKY and whiteline make sway bars that clear RB/LS/1UZ oil pans. About $300 shipped usually

Is the sway bar spacer from daft worth buying? Or should I just save and get an aftermarket bar?

I run no front sway in my s13 coupe. Running on HSD coils. Drifts like a beast. Has no understeer issues. No sway, no problem. Plus you get more clearance for steering lock lol

Yep, stiff coils will make up for lack of sway bar.

Only fitment issue I ran into was the stock headers don't allow the adapter to fit.

Anyone thought about using a 2uz engine?

I'm running a Sikky sway on my s14. Can't vouch on anything yet since the car is not finished but it's super beefy and clears the oil pan no problemo. Still debating on cutting and redirecting my the headers myself or buying some from turtle

Anyone thought about using a 2uz engine?
Reason 2uz isn't thought to be use is:

1. it cost more since its in newer motors. A lot more on that note.

2. It's a iron block.

3. there's no real advantages from 1uz to 2uz

Eh I have 2 2uz engine that i got each cheaper than my 1uzfe. I just dont know what I'll do with them. One I think I'm going to swap NA into some old toyota pickup and drive it around like that. But then I'd have to swap the fbw throttle body to a throttle cable setup. The rods are weaker but the head flows better than than non-vvti 1uz. The block adds 82lbs i think.

I think it's 1uz heads on a 2uz block. But you'll have to modify the pistons or rods because they're too long. I dont exactly recall.
