I get that, and I'm not knocking it... I just don't think it fits the term "dope" which is apparently a qualifier for this thread according to the title.

who cares man. Most of the verts in this thread are average or nearly stock. There are maybe a handful of ran verts in this entire thread. No point in singling one car out when there are others on this page alone that aren't any better.

"Ghoti", your sig applies to how I would feel trying that.
"Bigs", this car and your avatar have something in common. They both look better topless.

What roll bars are you guys running? I've noticed some are clearly different, especially in regards to height. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Bought this 5spd convertible recently for around $1,000, originally for parts. I've grown to love it too much to send it to the yard. So its torn down right now being resurrected... Its not a dope vert, but its the color of dope (Though not for long) IMG_0011 by Touge Photo, on Flickr |

Starting the cosmetic stuff now for my vert, to this point body has not been a priority, and every thing has been one step forward two dents back.
I could show you what an $800 running vert looks like but it would be like "What dope was that guy smoking when he bought that thing?"

Auto Weld Chassis in PA make a vert roll bar that allows for full use of the top and has really great fitment. My buddy has one in his car, I'll see if I can get him to send me a few photos.

I think he said his pretty basic 4pt with a harness bar was $400 or so picked up in State College, PA and then the only issue is finding someone to weld it up for you. |
