VH45DE S13 build.

Hey guys, I will be posting my progression with my VH45de into a S13 Coupe.

Out with the SR20! Time to spruce up the engine bay.

Got this VH45 from LKQ only 136k on it!

Grabbed a Intake manifold off ebay for 90 bucks. Seems to be looking good. (:

I'm going with the Z32 TT tranny. It surprised me that it came with a starter,Slave cylinder, and the fork!

97 Q45 Wiring harness, came with ECU. I'm waiting for my KA harness.

97 Q45 ECU, I'm going to install a daughterboard for it later on!

Xcessive Transmission adaptor. I read good reviews on it. I'm going with the rest of their kits for the swap.

This is all i saved for right now. I'm going to be updating the thread with sanding/wiring work in the next 2-3 weeks!

Have you checked to see if a 97 Q45 (Y33) ECU can work with a 90-95 (G50) VH45?

Y33's came with VH41DE.

90-95 VH45's can be controlled by the same ECU but the harness is different at the ignitors, 96 is different (OBDII no VVT etc), and 97+ is a completely different car/setup. May want to double check that before you get balls deep in the swap and they aren't compatible.

The xcessive setup is a solid setup. The only thing I dreaded was grinding the crank for the flywheel spacer. Mazworx headers also work with xcessive mounts and you can save a good amount ordering them uncoated and taking care of that yourself.
