It looks really close to the roof, can you take a photo from the back seat with a paper against the headrest part to the roof as reference so I can see the clearance

Sorry for the delay. I don't currently have rails installed in my car at the moment.

But I did manage to approximately prop it up where the rails should be. And measured it.
This is in a sunroof s14.
