1998 bmw m3 4/5
Ok this car is the perfect track M3, runs great 255k Though Racepar1 did a top end rebuild around 225k
I bought it a few years ago off Racepar1 who did most of the matinence on it. It is a Salvage title and it is currently registered. The Salvage title is strictly cosmetic damage and the chassis is nice and straight. I did recently get sideswiped with a minor crease 1/16-1/4 inch down the passenger side. I will be up front about this car it's a track project machine. It has lots of stuff done to it but it also needs stuff. Hence the 3k price I am putting it up for. Below is the list of stuff done and needing to be done Mod list: -vader seats -AC Schnitzer shift knob/e-brake -M pedal set -18x9 +26 E46 M3 rears all around (18x8 +37 E46 M3 front for spare) -Federal 595 Evo Tires 225/40-18 -Delrin shifter bushings -Delrin clutch pedal bushings -Z3 short shifter -UUC 8.5lb flywheel w/M5 clutch( clutch will need to be replaced.) -BMW motorsports front underbrace -Urethane front control arm bushings -Urethane Engine mounts -Urethane trans mounts -Braced rear camber arms -RTAB limiters -Ireland eng. rear shock mounts -TC Kline single adjustable Koni front coilovers w/375lb springs & camber plates (need rebuild, ride nice) -Rear Koni sports w/H&R race springs -Braced rear trailing arm mounts -Braced front strut towers -Ireland Engineering Aluminum Radiator -Remanufactured Driveshaft ( done within the last 6 months) have receipt MAINTENANCE DONE: -Headgasket replaced (never overheated, coolant leaking outside) -radiator -coolant hoses -thermostat w/metal housing -engine breather valve -rear crank seal -coolant bottle -spark plugs -oil filter housing gasket -front balljoints -front brakes w/rotors -front wheel bearings -rear trailing arm bushings (OE w/limiters installed) -driveshaft -driveshaft center support -trans input/output seals -diff/trans oil (royal purple) -driver's window regulator Mechanical Issues: -air pump bad, throwing check engine light -needs shocks (leaking, still rides great) -small leak from front crankshaft seal -shifter seal leaks on trans -Needs exhaust system mounts in the rear -Needs clutch Minor/non-essential issues: -sunroof not working, got stuck, motor un-plugged (suspect tracks dirty) -needs brake wear sensors (I didn't install the front with the brakes) -coolant level sensor defective (throws warning message on start-up) -fuel door spring bad (manual latch installed) -fuel door lock solenoid broken Again I am being completely up front about this. This car has been very reliable I have drive it back and forth from LA to the Bay Area around 8 times. Once the clutch is done she is good to go. 3k
