Factory Service Manuals
Does anyone know if the 96-98 S13 180SX FSM exists? I have never seen this before.
In specific, does it exist in ENGLISH. Please PM me if you have any info. Thanks |

^ Location: Germany
^ Location: Wisconsin I always have these arguements/discussions with my wife. She always says "this in Europe is better, that in Europe is better" ... i reply "bullshit, there is good and bad in both countries... (or continents, whatever). Only thing better in Europe are the women, milk and butter. Oh, and the beer. But it seems the more I try, my fellow Americans keep letting me down. I mean, shouldnt it be a prerequisite standard that everyone on this forum know that the 180/200/240SX all share the same chassis? For example, when I tell customers on the phone "these are the 96-98 S13 tail lights" they reply "no no... S13 not S14." "Yes, S13 96-98" "No those are S14" "No, the S13 was re-released in 96-98.. hence the reason its the kouki" Seriously, why is it that people still dont get this shit? I can expect this from children, but I cannot understand how someone owns a vehicle, is a member on a forum, and still doesnt get it. I'm going to crawl back into my cave of superiority and assume that no one has this FSM, so I will attempt to contact NISSAN and acquire it on my own. You guys can keep talking about tucking and stretching improper fitting shit. Carry on. |

What's our location have to do with anything. I've only lived here for a few years anyway, if you're about to stereotype. Why is this guy going on with this bs? No one said you didn't know what a 200sx was. It was simply a reminder that you can perform a search for an s13 200sx to find the fsm you're looking for.

I would just like to say thank you. I mean, I dunno if you meant it or not... but you gave me a compliment. Anyway, I dont think any of us will have much luck in acquiring this particular FSM. I dont think it exists in English and I think the only possible way to acquire it is via NISSAN Japan. I will do more research. Thanks guys. ps: whats "incontinent" ...? |

it doesn't even exist (i mean RS13 chassis with SR20DET redtop or blacktop/NO NVCS engines)
You can/have to find RS13/200SX(european name of this chassis) with CA18DET engine(in English or French or German) AND S14/200SX with SR20DET(blacktop/NVCS) engine. Or you can make a mix of RS13 FSM for the chassis and the same one for the S14 chassis equipped with SR20 engine. For specific things about the redtop/blacktop no NVCS engines, you can use pulsar GTIR FSM (slightly the same engine) |

Any updates?
Yes, I understand the '93 Chuki RPS13 FSM will be similar, but I find myself in a similar situation, where I need a '98 Kouki RPS13 FSM.
Any leads? I've searched high and low and still haven't found anything. Cheers in advance! |

The "kouki" model uses the same 1991 manual but it has an additional supplemental book that was added in 1996, not an entire new manual.
I am still looking for this in Japan AND it is not in English

"When the S13 Silvia was introduced in 1988, the Gazelle nameplate was discontinued. The Nissan 180SX took its place in Japan, although in Australia there would not be a replacement until the introduction of the Silvia-based Nissan 200SX in 1995." The english s13 manuals out there are 200sx EUR for example

In Japan the 180sx manuals come in 2 major manuals and multiple smaller supplemental versions. There was the initial 1989 "zenki" manual and then a 1991 "chuki" manual for the sr20 engine and chassis revisions, there was also a 1994 "blacktop" revision and 1996 "kouki" revision amongst a few others. These were all Japanese only, I will scan some samples when i get a moment. http://www.nissan180sxblog.webspace....SX_(all_7).zip Link with all 7 180sx Japanese manuals
