hm you might be a tooth off dude. It's not hard to fix but you need to find out how far off you are.
i went to lowes and it was pretty funny...this drunk kid in an older white mustang tried to make a simple turn in the parking lot and he hopped the curb and his car ended up on top of a pretty big rock lol...this all happened right in front of a cop so he was fucked lol he ended up in the back of the cop car and the mustang was towed.
i gess fone cut out but call again i tell you more but it works and engine light on w/ low idile i may just fiddle with distibutor after tommorow also it no lost lot of power actually runs say speed little slower maybe i forgot been while since i drove before
check if it is sparking on TDC COMPRESSION and not the EXHAUST stoke, i had this problem and the engine wouldn't fire for anything. When the distributor rotor is in the #1 position the cam lobes on the first piston (or the front) should be pointing outward and the valves should be closed.
The yellow-ish links on the chain have to match up with the dots on the sprockets. Make sure you time it right so you don't bend any valves O_o good luck and feel free to call/text me up if you have any questions
