why cops try to pull people over for wat? shop is slow with my car and they are annoying but my car was in bad condition when i got it not so much bad but old (miles remember) just worn out

the meet was great until this past wed when one cop came and started pulling everyone over who was trying to leave...i managed to escape but idk if i wanna go back.
