Hello everybody . Merry Christmas . I am looking for advice for mounting a sleeve in my sr20det engine. I have heard of DAN BENSON RACING who looks good. I am afraid of water leakage problems later. So I'm looking for the best. If you have a sleeved engine or a close friend who is riding with it for advice. thank you friends

If you're going the route of sleeving a block I assume you're making huge power? Otherwise you could just find another used block. Also you will sleeve all 4 cylinders, not just one. If you're machinist is a pro you will never have leakage, so always chose a machinist that specializes in motors and especially sleeving.
Dan Benson looks and sounds good, I checked his page and he doesn't have a torque plate listed for sr20.
Call around to a few shops if you're unsure to see who they use for machining, any shop that wants your business will gladly give you the time of day.

yes sorry i don't speak english well, i'm french. actually I will line the 4 cylinders for objective to exceed 600whp with VE head

I made a quote at Dan Benson, with the answer $ 1,400 for sleeved sr20, boring, ans shipped to France. I contacted Dan Benson because he had done the sr24det Dsport project 2011 I think with success. I also know that Mazworx does it but with less positive feedback

here in Europe I have not found a reliable store that can sleeved sr20 ��. it seems so technical to have a reliable result over time

its a matter for the machinist to properly hone and press the sleeve in...its not rocket science but can be easy to mess up...as long as they measure correctly and you build the motor properly you shouldn't have any issues due to the sleeve/install

okay, so it takes the machinist and a liquid nitrogen system to put the sleeve in place or just a press?

machinist to properly "drill" out the old sleeve/space for the sleeve, a press to get it in as it should be a tight fit...liquid nitrogen would just be there to help...if you heat the block and freeze the sleeve it will allow more of a gap than would normally occur and make it easier to install...not necessary imo but would allow for tighter fitting
