quick wire question for maf
is it safe to use a thicker wire, extending my z32 maf? the maf has 22 gauge wiring and i bought 14 gauge wiring from home depot to add 8 inches and connect to my engine harness and maf in between....is it safe? im about to begine soldering so please let me know thanks!!!

I personally would go no smaller than 18 for something like this... and only if I were in a pinch... Optimally, you want to match it ... The ECU sends & receives voltage & current from the MAFS in order to effectively heat the element & measure the airflow. Adding thicker wire essentially raises the resistance. Now whether or not the effect would be drastic or even noticeable is something I don't know for this application... But your best bet is to stick as close to the same gauge wire here as possible...
