s13 givin up on s13

it seems that when i think my s13 is finally ok..something else pops out!
s13 91 hatch kade
(monday)after getting some s14 seats from some guy in a city 30 minutes away and running some errands i went home and rested...while on the freeway i was thinking "dang i finally get to enjoy the car a bit, its been a month since its given me a headache"....later at night i decided to go get water..
i turned on the car and the idle went all down and wanted it to turn off..WTF?
i turned it off and turned it back on and did the same, i tried driving the car and it seemed to do just fine but then it started BOGGING bad...so i waited till next day (today)
i turned on the car before i went to work and i did the same but i decided to drive it no matter what! and it drove fine all my way to work..
I turned it on in lunch hour and again LOW RPMs :/ now black smoke coming outta the exhaust
the bogging and low rpms are so random! why???
everything is 2 to 3 months old in the car (plugs, o2 sensor, etc) except fuel pump...
my friend said it could be the ecu... I CANNOT RESET THE ECU AT ALL! I TRIED FOR 1 HOUR :/
any ideas????? do you guys need to know anything else??? I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT IM REALLY GIVING UP ON THIS CAR...HELP!!!

i had this same problem on almost every 240 ive owned. and it was something different on each one unfortunately.
1.check the hose going from the brake booster to the intake manifold. (i had one with a small crack which would make it drive bad very randomly, and one that broke like someone had cut it, which would make it die at idle and run bad while driving )

2. Fuel pump can definately cause those symptoms, turn car on and listen for it to prime. ( when they are still working but starting to go out youll notice a misfire kind of feeling while above 4000 rpm and pressing on the gas )

3. EGR . there is a 90 degree hose about 3-4 inches long going from the bottom of the egr to the diaphragm right below it. they are known to crack and would cause poor idle .

4. Clean your MAF and check the plug. if the clip came off the plug they will sometimes wiggle there way off just enough to make it run like crap.. the smallest amount of dirt on the sensor will cause a bad reading.

try checking those things first.
thats all i can think of seeing as you already replaced all your sensors and did a tune up... right?

there are so many things that will cause those problems. lets just start small.

Problems don't typically fix themselves (unless they're the electrical gremlins in my car).

Pull your ECU codes and post them up.

Check ALL of your vacuum lines for cracks. Best to just get a bunch of 3/8" hose and go hogwild replacing lines in your engine bay - you're bound to find some shitty ones.

Clearing codes is easy, just need to follow procedure to do so. (Google helps here).

So let me see if I understand this.

You checked the ECU for trouble codes.
You got a trouble code which identified the problem.
You changed out the part which was causing the problem.
The issue is resolved.

Holy shit. Groundbreaking stuff.
