Those are usually pretty expensive aren't they? Heavythrottle prices them at $4500 but they don't even have any in stock. How much would an rb26dett go for? Would it be an easy squeeze in an s14?

I PUT MY HEAD DOWN BY THE ENGINE WHEN IT WAS RUNNING AND HEARD THE KNOCKING BY THE FUEL INJECTORS SO THEN I PUT MY HAND ON THEM AND THE KNOCKING WAS IN SYNC WITH THE VIBRATIONS OF THE FUEL INJECTORS DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT COULD CAUSE THAT OTHER THAN THE TIMING CHAIN?

THANKS GUYS

PHIL

The KA's injectors are pretty loud...they make a ticking noise like when you need a valve adjustment.

I think the ticking noise comes from the valvetrain. The KA uses a Direct Acting Mechanical Bucket (DAMB) setup that can make noise unless it is shimmed correctly.

I don't see why injector noise would be linked ot valve adjustment.

no, no, no...they SOUND like your valves are ticking ...at least that is what I was told was making that ticking sound.
