i dont remeber what their actaul name is but the secondary throttle bodies on s13 ka24de motors, they cause vaccum at certain rpms to keep the torque up, they are located right at the ends of the intake runners beofre they meet up with the head. i m getting pdm cams, and then later this summer i will go turbo and they say to get rid of them for turbo, and the s14 ka doesnt have them so with the increased breathing of the pdm cams i might as well get rid of them now while i ahve it all apart.

did you CLICK on the LINK?

this mod does not have any affect on idle. your idle speed is controlled by two things:

throttle plate
Idle Air Control Valve

as long as you don't mess with those (i.e. take the IACV out and forget to put it back in...basically impossible) you won't have a problem.

ok, there was a idle control thing that bypasses the butterflies, and there was one more that has a solinoid on it, i was thinking one of these could be removed, the link said the idle was lumpy, but it didnt sound like the guy had his run after he did the mod..............

I don't know. You'll have to ask someone who's done this mod. First, I've never had a KA24DE. Second, this mod sounds like a worthless waste of a Saturday. I guarantee there are better things to do.
