SR SR wont idle properly

ok so here is the problem.. Just had a rebuild done to the car and the shop tried to start it today, it idles rough around 2k rpm but thats w/o my cold pipe being connected to the car, now once the cold pipe is placed on the car starts to idle irraticaly and then dies. They have checked for vaccume leaks from the cold pipe back to the turbo and have found nothing. I have an Enthalpy tuned ecu along with an safc 2 which is set at 2 in 2 out, and i do not have my dec air set.. does anyone have an idea of what is going on? btw my set up is as follows.

>> S13 Black Top SR20DET
>> MR Exhaust Manifold
>> CP 86.5 Forged Pistons
>> Eagle H Beam Rods
>> Apexi Head Gasket 1.1mm
>> ARP Headstuds
>> Nismo Main bolts
>> ACL Race Series Rod, Main, and Thurst bearings
>> Brian Crower Valve Springs
>> Brian Crower Titanium retainers
>> Brian Crower Stage 272 intake and exhaust Cams
>> MR Dump Pipe
>> Greddy Down pipe
>> 3" cat back
>> Greddy Rocker Arm Stoppers
>> God Speed Intercooler Kit (core is 24X12X3)
>> Bosch recirc valve
>> Z32 Fuel Filter
>> Walbro 255lph fuel pump
>> Deatsch Werks 740cc injectors
>> 93 octane
>> JWT vavle guides
>> Nismo FPR
>> NGK BKR7E spark plugs
>> Z32 Maf
>> Forced performance 20g turbo (TD06L2 turbine wheel, 8cm turbine housing, actuator preset to 1 bar)
>> MR Lightweight Pulleys
>> S-AFC 2
>> 180sx VLSD
>> RPS Max street clutch
>> findanza 11lb flywheel
>> Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost controller

your light weight flywheel could be causing your idling problems. just a thought but probably isn't a factor.

i know that might cause a slight problem. But not being able to start it unless the intecooler piping isnt connceted to the tb sounds like it is a larger issue.

Xao - I am having the exact same issue, my car runs great until i connect the intercooler piping to the throttle body. I have already given my IACV a really good cleaning but it still might not be working (gone bad or something). If i figure this out ill let you know.

In the meantime does anyone else have any ideas why this happens? or theories maybe?

yup, thats how i have mine set, it gives me good readings that way, but that doesnt explain why it will only idle without intercooler piping.

2in 6out if the ecu is not tuned for it. Now my SAFC serves no other purpose then to be used as a fancy gauge lol.

doug86 if my engine builder and I figure it out first I'll let you know what we found.

flip3d - where did you get your IACV from and how much did you pay? im not going to replace mine unless i know for sure that is the problem, especially as i've heard they cost over $200.
