tranny mount question

has anyone installed just the tranny mount and experienced craZy vibrations afterwards? i just installed a peak performance race tranny mount, i still have the oem motor mounts. now when i step on the throttle i feel vibrations throughout the whole car, when going at highway speeds and i let go of the gas the vibrations go away. if anyone has ever experienced this let me know. its driving me nuts trying to figure out why this is.

any feedback would help.

You should change your motor mounts too. With the tranny mount being much more solid than the motor mounts, it's taking most of the abuse

Yea, you should change your engine mounts at the same time.

If you have solid motor mounts, the vibration runs to the tranny mount.

and vice versa.

Did you install your transmission mount properly? Was this vibration happening even before you bolted up the next mount?

there was no vibrations before the install. everything lined up okay, no problem with the bolts going in. although when i did bolt everything back up, it raised the tranny up so i just slid the jack out from under it. which i thought was weird, i do plan on putting in the mm in a couple days. its just that time and weather weren't on my side. it feels like the whole thing is just going to fall apart from the vibrations. i didn't even wanna take it over 40. will it be okay to be commuting to work and back for a little bit till i get the mounts in? will it throw anything off?

Yea, its not like the mount is going to wear out asap. unless its bolted up wrong. Did you research information about that transmission mount.

Everything else bolted up correctly? driveshaft?

everything else seems fine, i didnt notice any lash in the driveshaft or anything. its a lot easier to shift and the shifter doesnt slap me in the hand like it used to. its a peak performance tranny mount, race spec. compared to the nismo mount it looks like a block of steel. but vibrations, and noises i haven't even heard before are more noticeable. like the throttle body opening and closing. or even the throw out bearing humming.
