Kaaz lsd question
I purcahsed a 240sx complete rear suspension from a guy who imported it from Japan. The diff is a Kaaz lsd. I installed the complete suspension and took it for a spin. The passenger side half shaft is loose it moves in & out and up & down about 3/16 of a inch. It makes a clunking sound. I disconnected the axle and puled the half shaft out. It came out very easy. There was no force needed to remove it. I was not able to look on the side of the diff to see if the c-clip retainer was in. So I removed the diff from the car and noticed the c-clip retainer was there however, the half shaft groove for the c-clip retainer was not in the correct spot to line up with the half shaft. The half shafts are 5 hole. I am not sure if the diff came out of a Silvia or what. Can the half shaft be re-grooved to accept the c-clip retainer in the correct spot? What are my options? Thanks in advance.

I know that you can use either the 5 bolt or the 6 bolt axles with the KAAZ unit. There should be no play in the shafts. I would take it to them.
I have been dealing with them for over 4 years now, and they are the best when it comes to quality and service. |

impactred bought a used cusco lsd that turned out to be for an s15. He found out that it was for an s15 because of the loose shaft problem. perhaps you could ask Ray about s15 half shaft diameter sizes? Good luck
