German glass lense on Jdm s14 housings. HELP!!!
Okay guys, I've searched for hours and hours and can't figure this out, I recently bought a set of German glass headlights for a steal but some of the tabs are missing. I figured fuck it I'll just remove the lense and use the glass on my usdm housings. Well as my luck would have the the usdm housing is alot bigger then the euro housing.
My question is if I got a set of Jdm housings would the glass fit??? from what I've seen it look as if it would but before I go shell out the money id like to know for sure. I've searched and searched and searched and can't find a answer, I know that the Jdm housing looks very similar to the euro other then the lense and the fact that the euro lights have electronic adjustments. I've went as far as finding a website that was in French that did a break down of the usdm, Jdm and euro headlight, using Google translator to try and get a answer since they seemed to cover everything in their pictures and as luck would have it, nothing. If anyone can shed some light on this that would be awesome. Ohh and happy thanksgiving dudes.

Happy thanksgiving, brohan.
Have you tried searching for the jdm headlight housing dimensions? If you can get that, you could measure the euro glass faces and see if it would fit properly Any way possible you could fabricate your own mounting tabs?

I haven't thought to search the dimensions yet but that's a good idea. I've got next to nothing in to them I just want to run glass because let's face it the fitment blows with the clear covers lol

Hell yeah I completely understand man. Working on a similar project for my SC....
If you can't find the dimensions online, I'm sure someone who has them on their car here could go to their it with some measuring tape to help you out

My JDM housings are the same size as the USDM. When I swapped to clear lenses I installed my old JDM lenses on USDM housings. Same size.

im bumped it with good reason though.
if glass lens wont fit usdm or jdm housing , people who are looking to do the swap will not be able to use anything other than euro housings. i just bought euro lights but the housings are trashed |

I successfully retrofitted euro glass lenses onto my 96 USDM housings. The only tricky part was clamping the lenses to the housings tightly enough to put the metal clips back on. I deformed a couple of the clips and chipped the glass lip on one of the lenses.
