Refinishing Work wheels

I have some chrome work wheel faces that are in moderate condition, they are semi painted and some of the chrome is peeling. I was wondering to remove the chrome if I should get them sandblasted, or if I have any other options. What would be a reasonable quote for 4 wheel faces to get sandblasted? Are harbor freight sandblasters powerful enough to remove chrome?

If you're re-plating them, most plating places will chemically strip them for you. Powdercoating facilities will do the same.

U can sandblast the chrome or have them dipped to remove the chrome plating. The issue is the metal underneath. Since the chrome is pitting, the underneath metal will have imprefections. Just something to worry about if ur rechroming or polishing that area.

Chrome is thick and most of the time hides the pitting. Powdercoat does a good job of this too depending how good the applicator is. Polishing will be a fucking nightmare.
