No cluster lights

OK, friends I've searched hi and low but can not figure out why my cluster lights are out.

My turn signals work fine, all indicators lights work battery, door open, brake etc. The backlighting for my climate control works.

My cluster lights, dimmer switch light, and headlamp light switch will not illuminate. I removed the bulbs and tested those all checked good.

TCU does not have a burnt trace
All fuses are good
Jumped the dimmer wiring(1st two slots) still no lights

Anybody got any tips?

I would suspect a break in the body/dash wiring harness somewhere around here, assuming this is an S13:

According to the wiring diagram there's a big cluster of splices in the illumination circuit that branches off right near the connectors for the cluster and would mostly affect the cluster and those cluster surround switches if one splice broke. The illumination for the HVAC push control unit branches off separately.
