Question 95 240sx odometer cluster problem... any help...?

Okay, so here's the problem: everything on my cluster works except the odometer. It used to stop and the work and then stop and work again. After some time, it stopped working completely. In order to fix this, i googled and searched over zilvia and nicoclub but didn't find much. I found one thread that helped but the issue was still not resolved.

this is the thread that helped(somewhat helped...):
http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/196349...rking-off.html

The gear that is talked about in the thread was stuck on the numbers so I nudged it back to where it is supposed to be. I thought problem was solved but turns out it didn't solve it. I drove my car and test the odometer but it only went for three miles and got stuck. Can anyone help me to fix this problem? I think it might be the gear getting stuck somehow. Anyone had this problem before, how did you fix it?
