They have a bunch of other R32 aero rep bits as well.
Out of Australia. I messaged them with no response in the past. Their shipping calculator won't pull US estimates.

What is this coilover part called?

Lifted the car up and a bunch of tiny ball bearings fell to the floor. It's the part on top of the spring, and looks like the part that actually spins when you turn the wheel. Looked up top hat or coilover mounts and only found the top part that bolt to the car. My google-fu has failed me.

Mainly seeing if I can just buy this part.

Daughter bought an S13 with a bunch of suspension mods, but the body is rusted out. Trying to see what's salvageable off this car to transfer over to a clean stock S13 we picked up.

Here's a generic picture I found online and I circled the part where the bearings fell out of.

Not sure what brand coilovers are on the car, but based on the CX racing turbo kit, I'm going to assume they are budget friendly.

My guess is you're talking about radial bearing mounts like this or this. I assume the pic wasn't the actual coilovers so it's hard to say for sure, but it's possible you could replace the bearing alone if that's what broke. My only other guess would be thrust bearings, but you don't normally see them on top, I don't think. Not an expert here though so YMMV.

Edit: coilovers cleaned up pretty nice after I took everything apart. After searching a part number on the strut bearing itself, it turns out this is simply a GM strut bearing used on the G8/SS, etc. Hooray for easy to find OEM parts.

Thanks, went out and took a pic of the actual part. It's the blue part with a white plastic cover on top.

Also found a sticker and see that these are Megan. Probably better to bin these things.

s13 1991 240sx gauge cluster, power seatbelts, ac controls, and blinkers

So my gauge cluster, power seatbelts, ac controls, and blinkers all stopped working at the same time. When the issue first started it was very random for when this would happen. They would all be working and then all of a sudden they go out. It's at the point now where they havent worked in a few weeks. I'm thinking there's a bad ground somewhere but have no idea which would control all of those electronics. Any ideas?

Could be an issue at the fuse box, or one of the main grounds under the dash. If I remember correctly, there are some major grounds for the chassis harness under the drivers side dashboard, near the kick panel.

Any suggestions on how get a fan clutch that isn't so stiff?
I bought a used OEM one, Asin, and a new OEM one and they have all been stiff.

Water temps are typically around 160-180 and the fan is always roaring at 2k RPM and above.

The fan does not spin by hand when cold, after startup, or after driving a while. It rotates maybe a quarter turn if I slap it by hand.

Any solution besides buying 100 fan clutches and hoping one of them is good?

Sound deadening question:

When adding (phat mat, kill mat, etc) new sound deadening, do you put it on top of the oem material or take it out and put it on the metal?

If it's the sticky stuff, then replace the oem material. If it's just carpet matting, then lay that right over the oem stuff.

Yeah I think I'm going to go with kill mat. So dry ice and a hammer and screw driver iirc.

Now that I think of it, it was winter when I did mine and it came up pretty easily with a hammer and scraper. Dry ice will probably come in handy if it's all hot and sticky.

I used Noico 80mil sound deadening, looks pretty similar to the Killmat you mentioned. Got it off Amazon. That other stuff is DEI under carpet lite insulation that I laid new carpet over. Basically replicated what was under the stock carpet, but with newer/better material.

Over the shifter I used an insulating cone off a G35. Kinda went a little overboard.

Is there a reason NOT to put it over the factory sound deadening? Is it just inferior and not worth keeping?

The factory applies the sound deadening first, then paints over it, so you're bond to the car is only as good as that old paint is to the original stuff, which isn't that great. Besides, it looks janky. Don't be the guy with the janky s13, I'm tired of seeing that.

I wouldn’t think so. Possibly the flex plate off of a auto SR20 stateside could work. Like from a B14 Sentra or P11 G20.

Is the AC setup (lines, compressor, etc) the same between Sohc and Dohc s13s?

I have an 89-90 chassis which I swapped to dohc but deleted the AC along the way and now that I am older would like to re-install the setup

compressors are different between s13 and s14 ka24de's

My question for someone with an S13 SR, can you measure the bov recirculation fitting on the stock intake tube? I want to recirc. my bov and greddy sells different sized fittings. My thinking is then I don't need to find a hose that changes size from one end to another.
