The warranty is a large part of the selling point of snap-on tools, both because they'll replace it and because they made it good enough in the first place that you probably don't have to warranty it. But if a tool isn't made for striking, most companies/truck guys/whatever won't warranty it, if it's got hammer marks from striking the handle. They have separate lines of striking grade tools, often with full tang handles incorporating a striking plate.
